First show is coming up next week! I'm very interested to hear how the show is, and how it fluctuates throughout its 12 performance run as it's supposed to be different every night with many guest stars.

I wouldn't necessarily expect big names for her "guest stars", or at least don't be disappointed if that's not the case. It looks like she'll have collage students from different universities across the country for every performance. I've seen posts from a University in Connecticut (I forgot which), OCU etc.

That *might* be all it is. Kristin gets very excited about young singers, and it's certainly a cool thing for all those musical theater majors making their Broadway debut with this! There might be more, who knows, but I think it's saver to just go in excited about Kristin, not who may or may not show as a guest.

From what I've seen from the press event it all sounds very exciting, some new songs she's never done in concert before, and of course songs from The Art Of Elegance ect. Should be great. So sad I can't see it... but you can't just spring a thing like that on me with two months notice to fly in from Germany Kristin Chenoweth's MY LOVE LETTER TO BROADWAY Thread

Those of you who go, please post set lists! I am very curious to see how much it changes from night to night.

I want to catch this, but the run is just so short. I'm hoping for even a week's extension...that will help.

Love how she looks in the artwork.

I'll be at the 2pm show on Saturday.  I'll try to post what I can remember.

I went to her concert that was in Morristown,  Nj last September.  She had a few guys from On the 20th Century show up on stage at 1 point.  No singing from them. And then she did a little bit with the teen choir from the venue it was playing at. Nothing else.

She was at Kelli's show last night, Kelli might return the gesture. I'm surprised she hasn't announced who will be coming though, would create more excitement

I think there's another show for the Lunt lined up shortly after her run? Not sure how soon though...

At her Carnegie hall show, Kelli O'Hara said she would be at Kristin's on the 12th. No word if she's performing though or just attending.

That's news to me I think it's down until Charlie in March. But I also strongly doubt this will be extended.

The Illusionists was supposed to take the theatre after Kristin, but they moved to the Palace, so now there is no tenant until March. I don't think the show will extend as I assume Kristin will have to go to rehearsals in LA for Hairspray Live

Ah, my mistake. I had missed that The Illusionists moved.

And you're right about rehearsal for Hairspray Live! I doubt she can miss more than she already does.

Richard Jay Alexander posted a rehearsal photo with Norm Lewis and Kristin on FB, so I'm assuming he will be one guest. Kellie is good guess as well. Hoping for Andrew Lippa.

Is Sierra Boggess back in New York? They are friendly since doing Music In The Air together and Summer Boggess is in Kristin's band for this show (also according to RJAs Facebook), so I think there's a chance she might be a guest.

I wouldn't expect an extension; it's not selling particularly well as it is.

I'm waiting for a rush/lotto type deal, too. Here's hoping!

Well, no offense, but did anyone think this was going to be a sell-out hit? I'm sure they brought it in to fill some empty spaces in the season, but she's not at the level of a Frank Valli, etc.

She has managed to sell quite a few seats - it's just not a sell out sensation, but I doubt anyone expected it to be that.

In announcing to various educated adults over 40 here in the close-in suburban county of Nassau, Long Island, that I would be attending Kelli's concert on Saturday and Kristin's on Thursday, I was surprised to see that just about all of them came up empty on the names. Kristin I thought would be known for originating Glynda in Wicked, since every 13 year old girl in Nassau had probably played the cast album incessantly, or because Kristin was a regular in The West Wing for two or three seasons, or because she had been Emmy-nominated for her role in the quirky and short-lived Pushing Up Daisies.

In the case of Kelli, I thought that Boomers would have been familiar with the R&H classics from the films of them or from their music playing on radio stations and home "Hi-Fi"s everywhere. Very many would have heard the scuttlebut about the two Lincoln Center wonder revivals and been to at least one. One woman told me that she had seen South Pacific at the Vivian Blaine, but did not remember who was in it.

The Sirius Satellite radio channel devoted to Frank Sinatra, and others who sing the old standards, had never played any recordings of great stage stars, until last week, when I heard a very appealing version of "I've Got a Crush on You". I had to look at the display to see that it was Kristin. Maybe someone just arranged a meeting between Kristin and Nancy Sinatra.

Moral? If you want to be a nationally known star, don't head to Broadway?

Unfortunately I don't think Kristin has had the best luck with her film and TV projects. But even so, perhaps it would have been easier for her to fill the house with a different program. I like The Art of Elegance, but not enough to go listen to it in a huge theatre vs. a smaller cabaret venue.
