Cynthia Erivo and Joshua Henry in Last 5 Years! |
They are raffling off two pairs of orchestra seats and one pair will get to meet the stars. Also, it is $10 per raffle entry
OK but seriously. Is there ANY chance of a recording of this? I'd buy it. It's a fundraiser -- they'd make so much money of selling the audio or video of the performance. Broadway HD maybe, at least? They could donate part of the viewing fee? How do we make this happen?

It's $10 for 1 entry, $25 for 3 or $50 for 7. They will break down each donation amount to maximize the number of entries ($80 = $50(7) + $25(3) + $5(0) = 10 entries).
Interesting bits from the fine print:
- There's a max of 200 entries per person, which I think can be reached with $1425 in total donations.
- Canadian winners will also need to answer a "mathematical skill-based test question."
- The estimated value of the runner-up prize ($525) is more than the meet+greet package ($500).

Not financially viable. Please see any number of threads on recording/broadcasting musical theatre performances and concerts for a more detailed response, many of which are from me.

I think the $25 donation is a great "deal". 3 chances? I did it.
I'm so excited for this. Have been listening to the original off-Bway album of late, and went back to Cynthia's "I Can Do Better Than That" this morning and was SO elated. This is going to a crazy night! :)

I also think that a recording is a great idea. All the proceeds can go to charity. I understand it costs a good amount to record it, but I think it's worth it and the entire idea around it is to raise money.
The performance lineup and set schedule for today's Elsie Fest is out. Based on the performance time, looks like Cynthia Erico will be performing with both Pasek and Paul and Jason Robert Brown. Still hoping Jason and Cynthia will do something from Last 5 Years. May be wishful thinking on my part but also would make sense if they've been rehearsing for next week's show to preview a selection or two from it.

She is a goddess! The orchestration is.....different. Is that what they're using for the upcoming concert?
Even with the restart and the flub on lyrics, this was definitely one of the hightlights of this year's Elsie Fest for me. Here my video of Cynthia Erivo singing 'I Can Do Better Than That'. Enjoy!

Yikes, it looks like she's flubbed the song lyrics in both performances of "I Can Do Better Than That." She's so terrific though so I'm not holding this against her(she's human and I'm sure this happens to every performer.) God, I love that woman.

The addition of the horns in the accompaniment sure seems new. It will be interesting to see if they keep it for the show
Looks there there are some center orch tickets that were released on Ticketmaster, but only with a password. It doesn't seem to be the same as the presale password. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Yeah, I have done a bunch of research but cannot find the code for the seats that have opened up.

^ On twitter, Jason Robert Brown hinted at an annoucement 1pm today.
I was literally right there when he tweeted the code and still wasn't able to get tickets. Apparently there were only 28 released.

Why does he think people look at his twitter constantly? I guess those of us who don't won't get to go.
JRB tweeted: "Oy, that was fast! 28 tickets gone in under a minute. There may be another ticket release on Friday! Stay tuned!"
