Well, if you know a cast member, and that's what they say, well then, that is that!
And perhaps it explains why Lin's alternate schedule is only listed through July 3? Unless that's just about Sunday matinees ending for summer and the schedule not yet fixed?
Sorry Broadway concierge, I like the speculation as a parlor game of sorts. Whatever the last day, if indeed it is July, I am sure we will have the OFFICIAL word the Monday following Tony awards!
But you, personally, haven't made up your mind yet? I don't know that I want to break the news here. But I can tell you that with In the Heights, I did a year. I did a year and got out. And that show was as successful and joyous as anything I've ever done. But I still needed time to write, and so I did a year.
Here is a link to Lin-Manuel's interview in Rolling Stone. I'd say he is leaving when his contract is up. He says he left In the Heights after a year, and that the show was as joyous as anything he's done, but he needed time to write. Can read it and draw your own conclusions.
There you have it. Interesting that it states other members of the cast may not leave depending on their new contracts. The only other cast member we know is gone for sure is Leslie Odom.
Can Jackson still perform if he has a new series on CBS?
Can Jackson still perform if he has a new series on CBS?"
It depends on where Jackson's show will be shooting. If it's NY, then I don't see why he couldn't stay with Hamilton and do the show. Alan Cumming did The Good Wife and Cabaret at the same time. If the show shoots in CA or another location then he's most likely leaving.
If LMM leaves July 9th will Leslie leave right after? He has a concert on July 23rd in CA.
So since the Tony awards are coming up and he's leaving the show shortly after, does that mean (if there's a God in heaven) that people will STFU about this show?
that THR article incorrectly states that he's been performing 8 times a week which I don't think he's ever done for Hamilton. I'm a little surprised this was announced before the Tonys. I wouldn't want to rock the boat if I were him.
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
Rock the boat? Did he do any less work because he's leaving next month? Does that change the performance the voters are seeing him master when they are in the house? Nope. I cannot imagine a voter thinking, "Well, I WAS going to vote for LMM, but he's leaving the show, so I'll voter for someone else."
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I don't think it was his choice lol. Don't see how it makes a difference though.
Chris Jackson has been pretty adamant that he isn't leaving on social media, so I don't think he's leaving and I'm not sure what the situation is with his pilot/series, but per him - seems Washington isn't taking his one last ride just yet.

I believe the series is being filmed here, so he will probably take time off but not leave the production.

I didn't realize writing a single post with two questions and "give me a break" warranted anything other than being calm. No one is freaking out, aside from you. Interesting.

He isn't freaking out and he's also right. This board is set up so poorly to begin with so it shouldn't be controversial to promote keeping relevant conversations in a place where people know to find them. You're the one who immediately jumped to the conclusion that he suggested that thread for purely selfish reasons, and then when called on the assumption, then tried to claim that he was the one being unreasonable and not "calm". Calm down.
