Seating Question for American Psycho#1

Was just wondering if front row is too close for this show?  Is the stage high?  Any advantage to sitting a few rows back?  This is the one show of the season I am really excited to see.  Any help/advice would be appreciated!

The stage isn't too high, but i think for this show you may want to be a little farther back IMO, you want to see the set as a whole for this one...

The Center Mezz is actually a great place to view this show (if they fix the AC). There's a lot going on with the choreography and you can take it all in. Plus, you can get a good deal through the discounters. That's what I did the first time. Then I got a discounted side orchestra a few rows back and it was okay. I couldn't see the painting or anything on the far right side (stage left). I'm going back to check it out from the front row.

If you have the time, you can do mid-center mezz and front row for the same price or less than a premium seat.

It looks like the Theatermania discount is expiring. The seat I paid $59 for will now cost $145. For that money I would sit in the orchestra.

It's loud no matter where you sit. I found the mezzanine to be even louder when I was up there.

If you are not adverse to getting hit with some blood & red velvet cake, no problem. Personally, I would sit father back.

I personally loved sitting in the front row and would definitely sit there again. It can be overwhelming to be so close, but I felt completely immersed in the show. And seeing the tears roll down Benjamin Walker's face when he sits at the edge of the stage during the beach scene was an especially memorable moment.

Saw Tuck Everlasting the other night and could hear some of American Psycho through the walls.

If you sit close and especially on the aisle, you can get some souvenir money. One lady picked up a bunch. Also, if you think Walker is hot, being close is awesome cuz he's half naked a lot.

I want to sit on the stage to be honest.

Seriously though I sat in the orchestra to the far left side about 8 rows back and missed some stuff. Sat dead center in the mezzanine towards the back and it was perfect.

Thanks for all the responses.  I just purchased a front row seat for next weekend.  Very much looking forward to this show!
