I'm thinking the evening may be more popular since it is her last show, but I am trying to gauge how early I'll need to get there. Now that Jason extended his run, it won't be his last day, and it is right before Sara Bareilles starts....."

Her last show is on a Tuesday. There's only one show. It'll be the first full week that everyone is back in school after the holidays so I don;t imagine it'll be too terrible, but being that it's her last show I'm not so sure.
I got standing room last night. I got there around 5:40 and was second in line. They sold the tickets around 6:25.
"

I apologize, I read an article that said her last day was 1/14, but it appears that was wrong, I'm going 1/14, a two show day. Who will play Jenna 1/10-1/14?

What seats did you, and any others you know of, get?

Are all rush seats the same price? I've never rushed a show before but I think I might do this one

I rushed today 12/3! I can't answer the above question about pricing, but I know the boxes and orch partial view are $40.

I arrived at 8:15am. I was 4th in line, behind a duo and a single who had gotten there at 8am. No one else showed up until 8:40am or so, but it seemed the line doubled. Folks continued to join the line up until 12pm.

I'm not sure if everyone got tickets, but the box office worker first offered me a seat in the box. I told him I'd prefer to be on the floor (as I'd heard not great things about the box), and he rolled his eyes and said "fine don't listen to my suggestion, it's not like you deal with these tickets every day." He gave me a side orchestra row F21.

I was at the matinee and I saw people who were further back in the line had lucked out with seats, but my recommendation is arriving between 8am-8:30 on a 2 show Sunday. Other factors: schools are still in session, the weather was pretty mild for a winter day today, and on Sunday's the box office doesn't open until 12pm. So that could be why people came later. Hope this is helpful!

How was your seat's view?  Was the seat all the way up against the wall?

It was the furthest house left you can go, so I missed anything occurring in the kitchen/counter of the Diner. Everything else was in perfect view! Having seen it before from the mezz, I didn't mind this at all.

I misread and thought the tickets from when Sara was on was releasing January 6 not December 6 so I messed up there. On ticketmaster it looks like most of the seats have been sold for January 20th or January 21 except for the 600 dollar seats. Will the rush still happen or will it be SRO maybe? Debating between this and Anastasia. Last time I did rush at DEH at 7am when Ben was still there was already like 10 people in line (I got tickets though).

I don't believe in the past there was a single Sara performance with rush.

Sold-out shows should have SRO but ZERO seats need to be left before the first standing ticket will be sold, no matter the time on the day of the performance.

=( Well I'm not sure anyone would buy those seats as they're all premium 600 dollars (but only 5 left) - Would they announce they're not doing rush or would they not say anything?

It was pretty easy to see Sara for regular price last time around, a few days out, they started marking some of the premium seats down to normal price. Just avoid the obvious things like her last few shows with Jason, and her last few shows in general.

I got a front row seat in mid February for $229. Last time I checked there were still a few left.

My memory was that they had SRO but not rush during Sara's initial run.

Does anyone think that there is any chance at all that Waitress tickets will be available for the Broadway Week coming up in Jan/Feb 2018. I would really love to see the show in the last week of January when I will be in New York. Or are Todaytix or TKTS likely to have any discount tickets? I know January is a fairly quiet time for a lot of shows, so am hoping to get rush tickets or other discounts.

Is there even a code discount for Sara, much less 50% off?

Definitely NO rush ... MAYBE standing room IF sold-out.

I rushed this morning.  8:30 for a 10am box office.  I got the last pair of seats for 2pm on a 2 show day.  Well worth it!  It was really cold but that didn't put the people off.  Lots of people behind me still!

The reason I messed up is I'm in NY 1/19-1/21 so it had to be one of those days. It's her first few shows so they already sold out of any cheap tickets so I was hoping for rush or sro, which doesn't seem likely.

Rush no but if sold out, standing room should be sold.

I got a Standing Room ticket right before the show tonight!
Also, I'm 99% sure I saw Stephanie Torns and not Betsy Wolfe tonight, but there was no announcement or playbill insert for the role of Jenna. Can anyone confirm this?

Betsy was on tonight. There were just understudies for Old Joe and Cal

@Kathy did you see the show tonight? There were indeed playbill inserts for Cal and Joe. But I've seen the show with Betsy before and I'm 99.9% sure I didn't see her tonight. And I looked up videos of Stephanie Torns and I'm pretty sure it was her.

Not surprised there's confusion. I saw Stephanie a few weeks ago and it seemed like she was doing a Betsy Wolfe impersonation, and not a bad one at that.

Was the person who usually plays Cal on for old Joe? I remember they had Eric Anderson cover Joe when he was playing Cal.

^Yes, the usual Cal (Benny Elledge) was on for Joe, and Max Kumangai was on for Cal. Both were great.
I don't think Stephanie (or whoever I saw tonight lol) sounded anything at all like Betsy did when I saw her, hence my confusion.

You saw Betsy tonight. 1000000% sure. Stephanie was in her usual ensemble and the doc's wife track.

Stephanie and Betsy sound and act nothing alike and certainly Stephanie would not be doing any Betsy impersonation at any time since she has been on as Jenna for over a year before Betsy arrived.
