I got seats on TDF last week and received orchestra B3-5. VERY close -- but great for a play like this.

Thanks all--for the seating info!
I can't speak for every show or theatre, but I was able to past date a TDF ticket for Sweat at Studio 54 a few years ago.

Any ticket that is not a comp or priced at $0.00 can be past dated"
Not even remotely true. Please don’t post about things you have no knowledge of. Each show and box office is different, so the only correct answer is “it depends”.

Was there a need for such an obnoxious tone? Obviously it depends on availability and other factors. But there is no hard-and-fast rule against past-dating a TDF ticket.

So sorry if your delicate sensibilities were offended! Lol. But people who post inaccurate information as the gospel truth should be called out on it. The "know nothing 'know it all's" do a great disservice to this board.

Glad you think you're funny.
Tones like yours do far more disservice, but it would take some self-awareness to realize that, wouldn't it?
My son has a TDF membership but I do not. Do theatres generally ask to see ID when picking up tickets or will they just give them you if you know the name of the person whose name they are under? Or is the answer "it depends on the venue"?
I used to get TDF tickets 30+ years ago, even ran groups (not sure if they still do those). In those days, they would mail you the tickets (for groups I had to pick up at the TDF office). Saw lots of great stuff and some awful stuff. I guess I should join myself but we don't go enough to justify it (but really should).

It really depends, on both the venue and when you go. I've had friends pick up tickets for me when I was running late and they didn't have any issues with IDs getting checked but sometimes if the box office is particularly busy they'll tell everyone at will call to have IDs out so it's a quicker transaction. Some theaters just want to see ID anyway. I've only found that maybe 15% of the times I've picked up tickets have I been asked to see ID so ymmv
Also to answer your question on past dating, that's if you miss a performance and you want to exchange your (unused) ticket for a future performance.

It really depends. I would say it’s 50/50 as to whether they ask me.
Would agree it's closer to 15% for me. Especially if someone appears to be the same gender as the name.
Usually I give the last name on the order, and they ask for the first as verification before handing over. Then it feels as if they may not feel the need for an additional step of verification (e.g., ID) compared to if I'd given the whole name upfront.
In my experience about only 25% ask for ID.
Saw Oklahoma last night and wasn't asked for my ID. Seats were F 237 & 239. Great view but I wish I was on the other side because it seems the actors favor it a bit more!

Earlier today, Freestyle Love Supreme was up for this Wednesday at 7pm. Anyone know if this was the first time a non 10pm performance has been available?
