Hey, I'm wondering something- For The Sound Of Music tour and I guess any production of it really, is there an option of doing it in the Julie Andrews keys or in the Mary Martin keys? I know that Mary Martin keys are the original keys, but the movie is so iconic and I'd imagine that many sopranos who play the role would prefer singing it in the higher keys. Anybody have any info on this?

I can't speak to this show specifically, but many rights holders offer transposed music.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Most of the score isn't too low even in the Mary Martin keys.
RNH offers a lot of extra orchestrations/arrangements in different keys or for alternate songs for an additional fee. This includes raising the key of "The Sound of Music" to the Julie Andrews key. Other options include Edelweiss in Ab, adding "I Have Confidence" with a full orchestra instead of the "My Favorite Things" reprise, and replacing "An Ordinary Couple" with "Something Good."
