Doesn't have any chance making it to Broadway?

I'm happy I got to see it in London, but it couldn't possibly do better in the US than it did in England.

because we love soccer and Beckham much more in America than they do in England

The musical is very cute and it had a decent run in the West End, but it will never make it to Broadway

How is the score to this? I absolutely love this movie, which I could see this on stage.

The score is super cheesy but really entertaining and catchy.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had at the show and I listen to the album every once in awhile.  The guy who played Anthony in the Sweeney Todd film is the coach, if anyone cares.

I totally feel you yankeefan.  Women on the Verge was supposed to run in London until the week I was there and then closed earlier.  I was one of the few who loved that show too, so what do I know?

We got tickets to "Curious Incident" and  "The Play That Goes Wrong" and was looking for a musical that was not already on Broadway.

I loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  That is coming here but they are going to be making significant changes.  Play that Goes Wrong was really fantastic and is also coming here.  In the Heights is playing and Funny Girl I know is sold out but you could try cancelation or just checking with the box office a few hours before.  I don't think rush and cancelation in London has caught on yet.

You can also do a tour of the theater where Charlie is for less than 10 pounds and it was really fun.  I recommend that.

Funny Girl will have closed at Menier before yankeefan7 arrives - and will not have opened the transfer to the Savoy.

So, you're the one that loved Charlie?

And, I don't know where you heard that The Play That Goes Wrong is coming to the US.  That would be welcome - but with Noises Off currently on Broadway... I suspect a transfer is a ways off.

And, of course, the unions are preventing Sunny Afternoon from transferring to the US (that's a joke - it's based on what happens in the show and what happened in reality)

A very good friend of mine was told they were bringing it over by a producer.  I guess that could always change because nothing has been officially announced. It is billions of times better than this production of Noises Off so I don't believe that's anything they should worry about.

@just_john: Jamie Muscato didn't play Anthony in Sweeney Todd. that was Jamie Campbell Bower.

The thing is, besides being an utter toad of a human being, Riedel usually has the least knowledge of the topic in the room. He doesn't usually understand the content or approach of a show, and is always completely and unfailingly socially ignorant, which makes it really infuriating when Susan can't get a word in edgewise. A definitive mansplainer; it's always painful when he has female guests. I watch the show sporadically when I really want to see a guest, because it's the only theatre talkshow we have, but it would be so much better without this hateful clown in a dadcoat. Well then I guess he left the show but you can still hear him on the original cast recording. I'm awake because I'm listening to it right now.
