I'm looking to get tickets for The Present next month and was wondering people's thoughts on seating at the Barrymore. I was hoping just to buy the cheapest ones so wondering how the rear mezzanine/back of front mezzanine was? Thanks!
The view from the rear isn't bad at all, but The Band's Visit is a very, very small and intimate musical. There are no production numbers you'd want to see the staging and choreography for. If it's the best for your budget, go for it, don't miss this show, but I wouldn't want to see it again from that far back since the show shines in subtle realistic moments.
I myself got the front row of rear mezz for October for now. If I love the show enough to re-watch it, I'd probably go in January again and get Orchestra seats then.
Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.
i got two rear mezz seats, the price for two was close to one in the front mezz. Made sense to just see it for cheaper right now currently for my budget
