I had high hopes for this revival, sorry it did not succeed.

I'm so happy I had the chance to see this as well. It had me grinning from ear to ear the entire time.
This was one of my favorite shows I saw all year. All the performances were fantastic. I wish it could have found an audience.
I am so sorry I missed this. I know I will always regret it. I wish they would move the show to New World Stages. It seems like it would do well there.

Unless they can line up really small venues, it will not happen. Putting this show on in a normal to large size theater will not work. It would be lost in these venues.
I was at the last performance this Sunday. I had never seen the show before but thought it was absolutely lovely, a real charmer.
I wrote about it on my blog:

I saw this back in November, and while the cast did give good performances, the show as a whole really was kind of bland and did not do much for me at all. Not surprised that it did not last very long.

As a huge fan of tap dancing I am so upset I did not have a chance to see this. It's times like these I wished I lived in NYC. Time to make that happen...
Found this randomly today-- it's a story about a woman whose fiancé plans a surprise wedding since it has become too overwhelming to get everybody together at the same time. One of the hurdles was a Broadway performer-- the sister of the bride. Midway through the video, there is Eloise Kropp. Nothing overly noteworthy, but it was fun to see someone from the Broadway community show up in a video that was shared to my Facebook wall. http://www.committedwillingness.review/brides-family-throws-her-for-a-loop-by-planning-her-entire-wedding-without-telling-her/
I thought this was a fun and cute show for the $32 I spent.
I think what struck me the most though was the whimsy, and I cannot help but think that if my grandmother were still alive (she passed away in 2009 when I was 15), THIS would've been THE show that I would have taken her to see and she would love without question, because she grew up with all the MGM musicals that it parodies.
