Lazarus sick actor yesterday |

I posted this in the other thread. No need to start a new one.
https://www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1087728&dt=107
I'm not understanding this approach. Is there a limited amount of posts allowed?
I don't read every post on here, so I appreciate it when an interesting bit of information is posted in a new thread or thread that I'm actually reading. While I certainly understand when the frustration when someone posts "MY Lazarus review" thread when there's already a "Lazarus Reviews" thread... this is a separate bit of information I wouldn't have seen if it didn't get its own thread. I'm avoiding Lazarus spoilers so I've not been keeping up with the main thread, but this bit of info that the OP shared is something that provided a lovely five second distraction from my work day I otherwise wouldn't have had.
I guess my question is... hidden underneath all my rambling... what's the harm?

Because one sentence of information: "Both performances of Lazarus were cancelled on Sunday due to a sick actor" is not enough information for a new thread? There's nothing to discuss. It's just a fact. And we already have a Lazarus thread.

Please conserve trees and post your threads and both sides of the internet.
Earth Day.
It does no harm at all. Some people enjoy being the thread police.
Cast absences surely rate as a new topic?
Personally I think that disparate strands of conversation all merged into one thread make for difficult reading.

Why is it lovely when people get sick and everyone's plans get canceled?!
As to the harm, every unnecessary post like this potentially pushes a Hamilton post onto the second page!

I agree. I don't want to scroll through a long thread again. This can warrant a new thread. Thread away!
I'm theatregoer3 and I approve this thread.

Oh, people don't know how to go right to the end of a thread on here? This explains so much.

Deleting this. I'm being unnecessarily mean.
Never mind.

My post was very different than NeonLights' post.
That post announced 2 canceled performances and wished the actor good health.
My post was a discussion of what happened next. The fact that 400 people were quickly rescheduled into future performances of a sold out engagement.
I realize complimenting hard working people isn't common here - perhaps that's why people are confused.

So, you weren't posting about the absences/canceled shows but about the hard work of NYTW, and that was best conveyed by "Lazarus sick actor yesterday" as a title?! Ummm... Ok.

Ok. Maybe I shouldn't have deleted my comment.
Haterobics, this is the 11th time you've posted today alone. You've posted more than 10 times yesterday. Why are you complaining about people cluttering up this board when most of the posts are coming from you? Give other people a turn and don't be so critical if you don't like how they post. I'm just happy to see someone new post something around here.
Chill out.
I agree theatregoer.
haterobics called me out when I posted something that he/she felt should be in an existing thread. So if I want to post something I think might be of interest to this chat board, I have to scroll through the Subject Headlines to find the show in question to post it? When I saw the Subject about an actor sick in Lazarus, it interested me to see what the news was about. I saw it and clicked on it and got the news. I wasn't thinking this news should be all in one place.
Very anal to me.
This board is so hilarious! It's like the people on Facebook who write posts complaining that Donald Trump is trending which then causes...Donald Trump to trend. Why perpetuate a thread that you wish didn't exist? People on here can't wait to police others for their activity.
I agree. Makes no difference to me how many threads are started. Who cares? so what, lol?
