http://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Confirmed-Kelsey-Grammer-to-Return-to-FINDING-NEVERLAND-This-January-for-7-Week-Run-20151119. To the doubters out there. Will Matthew extend for those seven weeks or leave the production?

I am extremely happy about this. I really wanted to see him. I don't know if Matthew will extend but I will get tickets for the first week Kelsey's back since Matt and Laura will probably still be in it then

Morrison is probably on a 1-year contract, so I would expect him to stay in it.

Matthew said on Andy Cohens show that he was leaving at the end of January and he has some solo concerts arranged in Houston and Kansas during  March.

Well there were rumors that he'd be leaving late January/early February. If anyone knows anything from someone who works on the show, please post.

Grammer had months left on his contract when he abruptly took his hiatus; I imagine that he and Harvey worked out a deal by which Grammer would come back for a short "return engagement" and, in turn, would be let out of the rest of his contract. It seems that Grammer loses interest in a show pretty quickly and begins to incur a lot of missed performances or, in this case, just up and leave altogether for 6 months.

The best all parties could and should do, is to do everything to get Jeremy Jordan in the role.  He was magnificent at ART in Cambridge, Ma.

Would he really want to come in as a replacement, though?

Kelsey is now beginning the 15th instead of the 19th. Could this be because of Terrence Mann's schedule with Tuck? Also who would replace Carolee? Would it be another broadway person? Or her understudy?

This is because the producers wanted a little bit more time to sell tickets with the original leads. It's not really that big of a difference (only 4 days early) but it's on a weekend so it'll likely bring some people in. Kelsey's leaving a week earlier than he was supposed to because he's filming a pilot the week after he is scheduled to leave.

I spoke with Matthew Morrison last week about leaving the show and the return of Kelsey Grammer.

If you'd like, check out my story below to see exactly what he had to say and what his future plans are. It's been updated with the newest details on Kelsey Grammer's return, too.

Grammer is returning early because he now has to leave earlier than expected due to the shooting schedule for his new TV show. Coming back early allows him to make up the performances he would otherwise have missed; that he gets a few more shows with Morrison is an added bonus.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

BTW, has anyone heard any rumors floating around as to who is replacing Morrison? I feel like we should be hearing something very soon, and I'm not sure if the person I am going with could make it the last week of January (Morrison's last week) or the next week which is his replacement's first week. Either way, I'm just super happy that Kelsey is returning. I really wanted to see him.

I think Kelsey has an excellent grasp of the English language. I feel he speaks with a fluidity and expertise that are far above the average. I see nothing wrong with his grammar.

I really enjoyed this shw way more than I expected. It was not high on my list to see but I got an invite and would pay to see it again. Grammer was excellent and extremely funny. It was my first time seeing Morrison on stage and just melted every time he sang. He sounds so good live.

Just give the world Love.

Kelsey Grammer returns to the show tonight. I know there aren't that many fans of the show on this board, but is anyone going this week to see Kelsey and Matthew together? I'm going Thursday. I haven't seen the show yet and am very excited to. Happy that Grammer is back in the show.

They'll have to drop the rise in his costume. She has bigger balls.

No, but my guess would be that it is Bryan Cranston (if he isn't busy not sure what his schedule is like these days)

According to FN's website, Kelsey Grammer has now extended through March 26th. I guess an announcement should come soon. But what doesn't make sense is that that date is a Saturday and there is a Sunday show the next day. Thoughts?

Maybe he already has a previous engagement already set for the Sunday ...and the show is happy to have him as long as possible.
