Hasn't Lady Gaga's acting on AHS been critically panned?
Lady Gaga's performance in AHS is fine. She's not giving an Oscar worthy performance or anything, but she's not as bad as she's been made out to be. She's got a great voice that I'm sure would transfer well to broadway.
I'd love to see Amy Poehler do a musical. She's a talented comedian with a nice voice. She could give a pretty excellent performance in the right part.

My wish is that RDJ spends his remaining time as an actor on stage instead of in a superhero costume. My Goodness, how much $ do you really need?

Exactly what i was thinking. Like he has the range to do broadway, and he could really find something he is passionate about like Bradley Cooper did with Elephant Man. RDJ never needs to work another day in his life.
Kate Winslet, Amy Adams, Viola Davis (she needs to return to the stage), Dylan McDermott, the return of Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander, and Claire Danes (although after her Broadway debut in 2007 she stated that she might not have the energy to do Broadway again).

Not really a celebrity but I would love to see Naya Rivera on Broadway. I've said this before but she would kill Angelica or Eliza in Hamilton
I'm pretty sure we've had many many threads on this same topic before. But whatever, I'll bite:
Whenever someone poses this question, the first person that comes to my mind is Christoph Waltz. I'm quite surprised he hasn't done it already, to be honest. He'd be brilliant onstage, especially in the right role.
I'm still not that fond of plays and I can't think of any celebrity off the top of my head whose singing is up to snuff who hasn't already been on Broadway. I don't know. Can I say Jodi Benson?
I'd like to see Emma Watson give it a shot, and Jen Lawrence. I'd kill to see Kathy Bates, Viola Davis, and Meryl Streep again. Eddie Redmayne would be interesting. I'd like to see Darren Criss originate something.

The 2010 Tony Voters would agree!

Ahh I forgot about that! Plays are too dry for my liking so I never go, to be honest.

And then there's the whole ACCENT thing.
The trouble with "celebrities", is that they achieved their celebrity through movies. Acting in movies is sure a different animal than acting on the stage, and frankly, I think our stage actors have the craft, the stamina, and the professionalism that film actors don't have. Even I could probably look okay in a movie if they did 100 takes of my dialog.
This sort of relates to the thread with actors using earpieces. The "stars" don't need to memorize (do the work), which I think is sort of ridiculous.

And don't get me started on foreign films. IF I WANTED TO READ, I'D GO TO THE LIBRARY.
I'd like to see Tilda Swinton, Gillian Anderson, Laura Dern, Romola Garai or Christina Hendricks on Broadway.
