That's ridiculous. The REAL life Frank N. Furter was powder white.
Well my body is ready for this I absolutely adore Laverne and think she will be great. I'm yet to see the BBC Broadcast though I'd love to see that cast unfortunately I can't watch it because I'm in Britain ironically, atleast I will probably get to view this version.
Here's hoping her Doubt co-star, Steven Pasquale will join her.

It was announced this year and we assumed it was for this October/November. I thought about the project yesterday and wondered if it had been scrapped. Found it a coincidence this casting was announced today.

SO EXCITED FOR THIS NOW. Brilliant casting.

I'll admit I'm a little worried about this one. Have we seen her do anything close to this that we can see her potential? Aside from Orange, where she was great, has she really done anything that wasn't a variation on her general persona?

Maybe her general persona is right for the role, but can she sing? This is a musical and she'll be the star.
I wonder where this idea came from.

Feel free to hate mail me.
I think this casting is awful.
I enjoy her very much. I think Frank should be a guy.
A woman singing she's a "sweet transvestite"?

Isn't "Transvestite" the nationality?
Technically Frank is from Transexual, Transylvania. So he's Transylvanian?

But Transexual is the planet and Transylvania is the galaxy. So Transvestite (or perhaps Transvest) is the country.

Did she say offensive somewhere else?

I immediately thought the same thing.
She did Broadway Bares and people told me she slayed-maybe its a side of her we haven't seen. I'm excited about the casting.
