YUCK! Outside his improv.. he is a bland singer and a boring personality. YUCK! Catch the show on tour.
YUCK!

This is out of nowhere, but what will Lets make a deal do without Wayne?!

Not sure how that's going to work out. Jury still out on this one. Survey sez.....

Lets make a deal shoots all their season episodes over justt a few weeks. Usually in July.

I just remembered we saw him last year in the all black Kiss Me Kate. He has a really thin voice. But friends that worked on the production say he was a sweetheart. I guess with this Kinky officially enters desperation mode.

I don't think this going to be a great move in the late night run...

Kyle Taylor Parker really should have been the one to take it over.

If I recall correctly, he had major attendance issues in CHICAGO, and Billy Flynn is a much easier role!

When he was set to do Chicago in LA with Patti Labelle he bailed on the whole run.

This bit of stunt casting may be regretted by the producers. Time will tell.

Granted, I've never seen him sing beyond Whose Line, but I really like him and will most definitely buy tickets to check him out.

I usually trust Jerry Mitchell, but I don't know about this. This is such arduous role for anyone. I can't imagine Wayne Brady being a triple threat, especially in those heels.
Besides, it's not like they've needed stunt casting to keep this show going. Billy's amazing, but the show is the star, and hasn't needed a name to sell tickets. So I wish they could've been more discerning in who they pick to take over next.

Yeah, Kyle Taylor Parker was FIERCE and definitely deserves to go to Broadway. I do want to see promotional clips from the show though when he takes over.

"I wish Rupaul was the replacement
There is ZERO way. Ru's voice is no means capable, not to mention he has said repeatedly he now really doesn't like getting in drag and will only do it for a real paycheck. They'd also have to hire Matthu Anderson to paint Ru every night, as well as give him a 6 show a week schedule.

This casting is sort of strange. I mean, is Wayne Brady even that much of a name to draw an audience? As someone else posted, the show is the star here and sells itself. Would be great to get a really amazing up and coming actor for this!

Truly bizarre choice. I've never thought he was much of an actor and didn't think KINKY needed a star (not that Brady is really much of one anymore) to stay afloat.

I think this is so cool!

Wayne Brady has an Emmy?!
But yeah, I agree this choice seemed to have come out of left field. It'll be interesting to see how much of an audience he can or can't bring in.

He won in 2003 for Individual Performance in a Variety or Comedy Program for Whose Line Is It Anyway? He was nominated in the same category in 2001 and 2002
