last summer, Matilda offered lotto loser seats a few times. Has anyone had any luck with this? How has the lottery been in general this summer? Thanks all.
Marla: I have to go sing about a life I never led.
From walking past the theater often during lotto, the crowds are pretty large. Also, they are often up at TKTS for 20/30% only, which usually signifies that they don't offer the $42 losers until much closer to curtain, but they have been selling standing room pretty regularly after lotto
It's pretty crowded right now. There are not that many shows right now that are perceived as kid shows - so it's more crowded in the summer. The last time I was there at lottery for a matinee weekend show, they offered only 20 lottery seats (they sometimes do more on the less crowded days). I remember they also mentioned standing room and said there were possibly just a few lottery loser seats.
I am sure it's better during week nights...as are the discounts at TKTS.
There are also four new Matildas at this time..so I have seen in the past when new girls come in... more of their family members/friends and those who like to see the different Matildas are at lottery at this time.
