Bambi, Treasure Planet, and anything Pixar would be pretty cringeworthy.

I thought it was an unwritten rule on Broadway that every Disney film, especially the animated ones, had to be musicalized. I cringe at a Frozen musical & all the souvenirs & crazy crowds at the stage door.

Mr. Roxy, you obviously weren't subjected to the craziness of the IF/THEN stage door.

Imagine Dumbo flying out over the audience ala Spiderman.

I do not do stage door for any show . For the most part, I did not do it 30 years ago but back than the stagedooring insanity was not a factor. I have no intention of starting now.

Well, I'd kind of like to see a musical version of Third Man on the Mountain or The Moonspinners.

Surprised there hasn't been a stage version of The Parent Trap.....

Song of the South.

And isn't Disney working on Dumbo with Stephen Daldry at the helm?

I was wondering if anyone would have the cojones to mention SOTH as it was so obvious.

I want to see them try to make Bambi, a singing Thumper.

The Lion King

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I think at one point when technology progresses we can start seeing Pixar films turned into stage productions, but at this point it's just silly to watch puppets and humans on stage together.

Cars the musical. Or even better, Cars 2 the musicals. Dear god.

^ I thought that the version that came out on VHS years ago was entertaining.

I think Toy Story would be a disaster. Didn't they have a production of it on a cruise ship though?

I'm surprised something Mickey Mouse related hasn't made it to Broadway from them.

Someone else already took The Rescuers so I'll say Robin Hood. I don't know why they thought Tarzan would work. The Princess and the Frog. I don't think Hercules could work in a serious way, only tongue-in-cheek or as children's theatre.

I know Pocahontas has never been the most popular or financially or critically successful but I wonder if there's a way to scale that down and make it work. Probably not since a great deal of what sells the movie is the visuals and you just can't recreate that epic scope. Also, with the whole serious/darker vibe they'd probably try to add John Rolfe and that's a can of worms you don't want to open.
