Message Board Update!

NOT an April Fools joke! Our message board has been upgraded to a responsive design so it should open nicely (at long last!) on phones without going through our app. 

We’ve also added in a  visual editor that makes it easy to add multiple images, and links along with a few other improvements… 

Thanks to Cary for the development work on this one. If you see anything wonky or broken, shout!

It's not working well for me.  All the headings line up vertically on the left side of the page forcing the threads to be pushed all the way to the bottom.

Does the new visual editor allow us to embed YouTube videos? That worked about a year ago and then stopped working about 4 months ago.

 

Here's what it looks like when I post the embed code from YouTube into this message:

Yeah it looks insane for me. The dropdown menu is taking up half the page and pushing the board to the bottom

Not sure how to add a screenshot here.

 

Eta: the new design works on my iPhone but now looks terrible on my desktop. I will look into posting a screenshot.

To insert from YouTube, you want to copy/paste the Embed code, and pick Insert / Video / Embed.

You'll have to upload the image to tinypic or something similar, and insert it by linking the image.

Not necessarily. You can just copy/paste the image's url into the insert/edit image dialog box.

Not sure I like the "Started By" under the tread title, but I can live with it.

Currently there are only 3 "Latest Headlines" at the top of the page.  It was better when there were more than 3.

Anyone seeing the embeded videos as squished to about a third of the regular size?
