she looks really good! Picture on her Instagram , doing this through mobile so I'm not able to post the link. I just have one question, does she wear a wig in If/Then? It looks very similar to her regular hair but minutes the bangs and curls that she had when she came out of the stage door when I was there. I sort of feel as if being blonde doesn't really fit the character but who knows!
I just saw her two days ago and it was already streaked w/ major light highlights. Guess she just needed a change! I want to see it w/ better angles/light.
Wait so does she wear a wig? Or is Liz/Beth now a blonde?

This plus the thread about hairline/etc. mics, and the wig makes total sense.
Well, "always starting over," right? Menzel's been pretty clear how important this show has been to her personally, so it feels somewhat appropriate during its closing week. At the same time, I'm not sure blonde suits her, but whatever. Watching Twitter explode over this is pretty hilarious, though.
It honestly looks much blonder in the photo she posted herself than it does in reality. Someone got some snaps of her walking into the theater and it is just a lot of highlights not all over blonde as that picture makes it seem
It's a shame one of her characters in IF/THEN couldn't be blonde and one brunette. The show would be easier to follow then.
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
I saw her yesterday and noticed some serious highlights and was about to ask if she had this up her sleeve. It looks good! I also want to see a better picture though.
Menzel stage doored tonight so you can find recent photos on Twitter. I think TFMH18 is right, and the blonde-ness may depend on lighting or angle or both.
Wouldn't it be funny if she died her hair to show how she would look as Elsa on stage? Whenever Frozen does come to broadway I think it will already be a hit but I think it even so be a bigger hit with Menzel.
I think it was a two step process. I saw her walking into the theatre on Tuesday and her hair was just highlighted. Now it looks all over blonde. And yes, she wears a wig.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I don't believe a 45-year-old Elsa (even if Menzel passes for 40, or 39, as she currently is playing) will make the most persuasive case for the story on stage. But who knows? Maybe that could be part of the feminism in the tale, that this woman has been locked up like a pariah, her ascendancy to queen poignant. Of course, does Menzel want to sing That Song eight times a week? I'm guessing the blonde hair will be part of her summer concert persona, and if it conjures up Elsa, a smart homage to the film it might prove to be.
