The DVD of the French production of "Follies" at the Opera de Toulon (zone free DVD, in English subtitled in French) will be released on March 10th 2015.

"Have you got stage fright, dear?"
"No," the young lady aswered astonished.
"Don't worry, it will come along with talent!"
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Heads up that this is in PAL format, not NTSC. Even if it's region-free, you need to have a PAL or compatible (meaning converter) DVD player, or the disc won't play.

Crikey, if this doesn't kill Sondheim, nothing will.
Is Loveland supposed to be a funeral dirge?

It's actually quite good for a high school production.

Ahaha sorry yeah, the video I linked is a high school production that's made the rounds in a few "bad high school production" threads. The actual Toulon Opera production is nicely sung but really, really cheap-looking.
I would recomend to trust the official link rather than the Amazon link concerning the technical aspect of the DVD.

This is true, however there is a work-around if you don't have a converting DVD player. One of mine converts, one does not. Most computers read both PAL and NTSC as long as it is reigon free your computer will read it with no problem. You can then rip the DVD and use IFO edit to fool any DVD player into thinking it is a NTSC DVD and burning the fixed files to disc. Here is a helpful link for those that will buy this and may run into this problem:
Anything to do with Follies is fine by me. I will try and get a copy of it somewhere.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
I've just received my copy and unfortunately it's a region 2 DVD (PAL). Sorry guys !

The Fosse dancers. Michael Bennett is turning in his grave.
ETA: Oh, you mean the Roundabout production?
First off, it wasn't the more successful Papermill production.
Second, every production that the Roundabout doesn't borrow sucks big time. They get high profile actors and then don't know what to do with them. They mess up more productions (I'm looking at you "Pal Joey starring Stockard Channing") than any other company.
Blythe Danner was wrong. Polly Bergan was nice, but wrong. The list of "wrong" just goes on and on.
