Hamilton Cancellation Line |
Hey guys, I’m going to New York the second last week of October and was just wondering if anyone knew what the cancellation line has been like lately? Also am I better of going into the box office on the Monday to ask about the weeks performances or just trying the cancellation line on the day? Thanks!
Here's my update about cancellation line:
I came to nyc for a 12 days visit. On my first day - sep 27 I went to the box office at 1-2pm. Thought that they will tell me to try and come on the same day of the show and do the cancellation line , but... what really happened is that I told them I can come on any date from my 12 days visit and they just gave me options to choose. I got orchestra ticket for 229 , as easy as can be. (Worth mentioning I asked for only 1 ticket).
Anyway, you should try first the box office, and if that fails, try the line.
Good luck!
Hi! So I’m coming to NY in two weeks for three days. Last time I was there was over two years ago and so I’m guessing that my Hamilton cancellation line experience is different than it is now. Anyways I’m getting there Sunday morning and I leave Wednesday morning, so I have Sunday and Tuesday to try my luck at cancellation. Is there anyone here who rushed on a Sunday recently and can tell me when should I get there? Also, do you think it’s possible to get tickets on Tuesday if I get in line around 5pm? I really don’t want to waste all my time in line but I’m dying to see the Hamilton again!!! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, reading those here really helps!
SRO are offered usually to the cancellation line, just prior to curtain. Back when there was a lot of data kept about such thing (about a year ago) people were tracking that they offered around 3-5 SRO tickets when they did offer them. They didn't always have them. No idea what it's like now, if that's gone up or down.
They're $40 and are obstructed, you do not see the second level. 95% of the show happens on the first level though, so the only big thing you miss is the first part of Schuyler Defeated.

They sell in advance?
Anyone got it?
Would I miss much of the show?"
If you're not far from the theater, you can also pop in today and see if there are any tickets for tomorrow's show. That's what I did when I saw it on a whim in March. I had great seats in orch b for $229.
Will be back eventually, may do cancelation on Wednesday to see Denée in the role
Its H 15
Looking the a view from the seat I’m kinda confused if this may be partial view (the man said it is not), has anyone seated in this seat or close? Am I going to miss something?

I sat in Orch H 20 when I went, about 2 years ago. It was a row of added chairs behind the actual theater seats in the orchestra section. I dont remember missing anything or having difficulty seeing anything. if i did, it was nothing that i even remember at this point, so couldnt have been too bad! have fun!

@MadsonMelo How much did you purchase the ticket for? What time did you arrive to the box office?
I just went by Monday and grabbed for the Wed matinee.
I fully support that if u are going to stay more than few days, go check the box office once and while, especially on mondays.
Otherwise, 7:30 it’s a good time to arrive at the theater for cancellation line

Hey! I'm gonna be in New York for a few days next week and I was wondering if anyone has any updates on SRO? Has anyone had any luck getting SRO lately and what would be a good time to get to the theater? I am a student so I'm not looking to buy a full priced ticket. Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

If anyone still cares about updates, I got an SRO ticket for the Wednesday matinee yesterday, 2/6. I walked up at about 1:55 and there were a couple people in line. I got called up and purchased my SRO ticket at 1:57, plenty of time to go in and get settled before the show started at about 2:04. I was dead center and there were still empty SRO slots next to me. The SRO view is amazing and such a bargain for only $40! I could have moved to an empty seat but I liked being able to see over everyone's heads from the SRO spot. Thanks everyone for the great advice in this thread!
Question for those who have said they've turned up at the box office and got standard orchestra seats for the coming week for $229. How are those seats available?? Do they just NOT put all available seats on Ticketmaster so the dodgy reselling pricks can't get em? And are they usually just single seats? Going with a friend in late March.

Some are unclaimed lottery tickets and those that weren’t listed on ticketmaster. I got two tickets for a Tuesday in March last year, &229 with fees, second row right orchestra. I went the other night to inquire and they had seats for future dates, but I didn’t have time to get exact dates. I had been going throughout the summer to try for friends and they wouldn’t have anytbjng and tell em to try next month lol.
