Hi! So I have time to see four shows on Broadway in late April. I've been to broadway a couple of times and have seen the classic shows, so I'm mostly looking to see some of the new musicals. Out of these shows, which FOUR would you guys recommend seeing? Thanks!
*An American In Paris
*Finding Neverland
*Fun Home
*Gigi
*It Shoulda Been You
*On the Twentieth Century
*The King & I
*The Visit

The Poster said musicals only so I am going to eliminate Living on Love

1)Fun Home
2)King and I
3)Finding Neverland
4)An American In Paris

I would put Hamilton #2 (if you could get tickets) and Something Rotten #3 if these were on your wish list

Don't miss THE VISIT. It may be our final chance to see a legend like Chita in a juicy role in a new musical.

Fun Home , American in Paris, Something Rotten will be the best bets for musicals this year?

I wonder what people think about Finding Neverland ?

Natto, I agree with your list, those are the three getting a lot of buzz. The Fun Home subject matter just isn't my thing personally. But it seems to show up on a lot of Tony prediction lists. I could see it winning the Tony and struggling to recoup.

The Visit
King and I
Fun Home
Something Rotten
Finding Neverland.

I can't narrow it down more than that.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Fun Home (Ugh, this musical is amazing.)
The King & I
An American in Paris
On the Twentieth Century
Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

I have my early April trip's theatrical itinerary narrowed down to: The Visit, Finding Neverland, American in Paris, On the Town, Gigi and On the Twentieth Century. Due to timing I might have to drop one. Not sure which though.

Spotty interest in Twentieth Century. I'm very interested in seeing whether Kristin Chenoweth can bring to life this Coleman Comden/Green musical which is said to be so respected but at the same time seems quite forgotten by most. Her now famous college vocal instructor, Florence Birdwell, told her that she was born to the part of Lily Garland before Chenoweth knew what that role was.

Kristin hasn't done a lot in musical theater since Wicked, although I'm sure she is proud of Apple Tree and Candide. This role, which she says is so demanding of voice and body, may define her status as Broadway star.
