Love this casting! Well I guess this is official confirmation that McGrath isn't continuing with Neverland.

Exciting and unexpected casting! Andy Karl should be great, and it'll be nice to see him in another comedic role!

I would never have thought of Mary Louise Wilson. What a great choice!!

And I'm also very excited for Andy Karl. He was sensational in Rocky.

Andy Karl is a great but relatively unsung Broadway B-lister, who never gets the attention he deserves to be a superstar, but is almost always the high point of whatever he appears in.

He plays the Bass Man in Disney: On the Record, a revue based almost entirely on highly harmonized reimagining of Disney music, and his basement notes are breathtaking.

Yeah, guess McGrath is jumping ship. Interesting considering his paycheck was probably better in Neverland.

Kevin Kline won a Tony for that role - it'd be lovely to see Karl duplicate that.

Michael McGrath had already signed on to ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY when he agreed to do FINDING NEVERLAND in Boston. There's no "jumping ship" involved.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Now, knowing for sure that McGrath won't be on the Neverland soundtrack, I'm grateful that I got to see his spectacular Frohman/Hook at A.R.T.

And if they make a soundtrack of this ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY cast, I'll definitely buy it. (Not just because of him. The cast looks great.)

Well from the talk so far, it sounds like this was a Weinstein decision, not his to not continue with Neverland.

Please keep in mind that McGrath was only taking over after Roger Bart dropped out.

I love this casting. Perfect from top to bottom, and in unexpected ways (at least for me, and at least in theory.)
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I really hope that they don't skimp on the size of the orchestra.

The American Airlines has a very small pit. The Pajama Game had a 12 musicians - I wouldn't expect much more than that for this.
