I've always liked her as moderator. I wish she can take over moderator duties over Joy on Fridays.

I can't stand Paula. She brings nothing and s boring. Joy is my favorite. BTW; Joy was on the Andy Cohen show last night. Loved it.
I think Paula is basically the second backup moderator. Whoopi's usually not there on Fridays and it just so happened that Joy took off as well. I've never seen Sunny, Sarah or Jed moderate; though I don't watch every day.
Friday's episode was quite nice. So was Thursday as Joy was out then, too, but I'm not exactly a fan of hers.

I hope they don't mess with this current cast. The show has seen growth in the ratings - some of the highest in years. If Whoopi only wants to show up 3 days a week, no need to fill her seat. Paula can continue to do Fridays.
I had figured if Whoopi wasn't coming back, some kind of send of would have happened this week. If they won't pay her more, then let her only do 3 shows a week. Have Paula locked in for Friday's and then whatever other day Whoopi wants off.
Yes, Whoopi signed on for Season 21! I think 21 may be the first season which they won't have any new cast members / changes. Once they got rid of Candace and Raven, this season found it's footing and got much better.

With Jesse Palmer out at GMA, I wonder if Paula will be getting more assignments.
I think we'll see more of Paula on The View, especially if Whoopi is just doing 3 shows a week. Plus Sarah is pregnant, so who knows when she's leaving.
Looks like the entire panel will be back!

I've had the show on my DVR since Rosie O'Donnell took over in September 2006, and she brought a whole new dynamic to the show. WHoopi never brought that same energy, but I've enjoyed her for the most part. I did drop the show from my DVR for the 2013-14 season (Jenny McCarthy? Yuck) but set it backup when Rosie returned in Season 14. It was fun watching the animosity between her and Whoopi.
The only problem I have with the show is they, of course, promote mostly Disney projects as they are owned by Disney. SO we have seen a heavy dose of Disney Broadway productions, and little else from B'way. It would be great if they devoted a whole show to 'Phantom' as it celebrates it's 30th in January, but we will get endless promo for 'Frozen' instead, no doubt.
I'm still curious the details of Whoopi's contract? Did she get more money? Is she cutting down to three shows a week? Will Paula be there more when Sara leaves?

So far, looks like the only change was the Sunny-Sara seating swap, which I think makes sense.
I'm not at all buying the reason for the switch (that Sarah touches Joy too much, makes zero sense, when they have just moved her to the other side of Joy). I think it's one of two things (or a combo of both) a. having the races not spilt down the table and/or b. prepping for Sarah's mat leave, the guest co-hosts will be placed between the stronger louder hosts (Whoopi & Joy).
Tag, like you, I didn't buy that explanation at all. I think you are 100% correct on both fronts - separating races as well as the guest co-hosts and/or Paula Faris sitting in between Whoopi and Joy while Sara is on maternity leave.
I can tell from friends who work at The View, that's 100% accurate. First reason is the "guest co-host" will always be by mother hen Whoopi, but it also evens up the races while keeping Whoopi and Joy in their respective spots.
I'd say "b". Whoopi doesn't care for Paula, so any time Paula's in she'll be next to Whoopi though.
