A New "View" Starts Today

It would be nice if Meghan could express herself without resorting to red-faced snippiness. She was quite rude today.

Meghan had her claws against Michael Wolff. She wasn't holding anything back.

Usually she holds her own, but she was also very rude when she concluded her portion of the interview with Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) about "what the President said" last week.  She snapped back some comment disagreeing with Durbin's recounting of some statement by Sen. Tom Cotton, by way of supporting Cotton. Kind of ballsy to do on national TV.  None of the ladies responded on air about it, but they had a very important interview to finish.  Wonder if it will be addressed tomorrow.

Meghan has been up and down lately. Yesterday was her being way down. She claims to not be a Trump supporter, but certainly backs up enough of his henchmen when they get in trouble. She tends to throw one of her fits when it's one of her conservative friends getting in trouble and has no one else to back her up, even if Anna Navarro is co-hosting.

I haven't been to the set lately, but I watch faithfully...with that being said, has anyone noticed how much laid-back and friendlier Meghan is on Fridays when Whoopi isn't there?

Didn't they tease, a few days ago in a promo, that the ladies were going to discuss what's going on with the 13 Turpin siblings found shackled and tortured in California?  Did they scrap that in favor of a "hotter" topic?  Thought I saw a promo early in the week that they were going to discuss it yesterday (Thursday), but they didn't.  In fact, being that the story broke nearly 2 weeks ago, I find it odd that the show hasn't discussed it at all. (Yes, I realize that the Nassar/US Gymnastics abuse case is just as significant and pervasive in the scope of long-term damage to children, but they covered that, and not this.)

They covered the 13 Turpin siblings I believe on Wednesday's show during Hot Topics.

 

RE: McCain. She seems to have settled in regardless if Joy or Whoopi is moderator. She still has her WTF moments and keeps saying "When I was at Fox News...". The show has been enjoyable lately with their rotating guest co-hosts. And I guess it's clear that Paula is strictly on the show to cover for Whoopi when she's out on Fridays. Really thought we'd see her at least twice a week with Sarah out on maternity leave.

Sadly Paula's only there on Fridays and Joy is basically the back-up moderator. I was really hoping we'd see more of Paula during Haines' LOA.

I remember this show, and how she kept saying she doesn't trust journalists like him, as they're always going after 'the dirt' on innocent people (I'm paraphrasing).  I wish he would have spoke up and said "You prefer journalists like your new husband - a proven serial plagiarist?"

McCain has been unbearable lately. Constantly throwing her hands up and complaining she can't get her point across or finishing her long winded statements. I have to wonder if she'll be back next season. She was on "Watch What Happens" last week and complained how hard her job is on The View being the only conservative voice at the table. I thought her & Joy were butting heads pretty hard, but her & Sunny have been going at each other lately. Whoopi has frequently had to stop them both and shut them down. Should be interesting to see if she wants to come back.

Is it a secret?  They wanted McCain (for many years), she was becoming available, so they made it happen.

They should of just kept Bila and hired McCain with Haines being pregnant. A table of Whoopi-Bila-Joy-Sunny-McCain would have been enjoyable (possibly). Then dump Bila at the end of the season.

It's not a mystery they wanted McCain for years and like Tag said, they made it happen when it became possible. What is a mystery, is why she Bila staying so tight lip?
