Pippin Tickets |
There are a lot of deals out there, and discounts. There is also rush. What do you consider expensive? And it does sell. Starting tomorrow, Andrea Martin returns to the show, she won the Tony for Pippin.

Define "so expensive". It sells at the same rate as other successful musicals. It sells pretty well. Selling out in advance and selling well are two different animals. But yes, there are discounts to be found.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

$166.00 with fees is the lowest I can find. Many seats available when I go to telecharge. Aso, is Row D to close to the stage?

row d of the orch is close but not terrible and the show is selling is it selling amazingly no but its doing pretty good for a revival almost in its 2nd year with no huge star in it. In addition the regular ticket price for Pippin is similar to many other Broadway shows.

I'd try to sit a little further back to be able to take in the whole thing.
The price you quote is the standard full price, for most of the orch and center mezz or so.

I think the rush is doing well based on the broadway spotted rush reports!
If you have a smart phone, download the TodayTix app. They have tickets available for as low as $49.
I rushed it last Wednesday and was first in line at 6:30, by 9:45 we all had our numbers and they told us that they had 45 rush tickets for the mat, but they knew they would all be sold out before the show. I'm not sure if that's a regular thing, but it'd be worth a try if you can get in on a Wednesday.
Twice I've grabbed tickets to Pippin through TKTS. Both times the seats were very good. When I first saw the show, I was really impressed and it far exceeded my expectations. While the show doesn't have the hype of some of the other major broadway musicals, I found the theatre to be quite full, and I think everyone really enjoyed it.
I sat in orchestra center Row F, which was very good. I would say D-G are about perfect. Don't go any closer than D, the stage is fairly tall. I like to sit as close as possible but for this show, I would not recommend the first 4 rows.
If you get regular seats, sit mez anywhere. If you want to splurge, or have time on your hand orchestra. PM me for seat locations for rush.
