I'm aware there is a thread about Hedwig standing room/Lotto but I was wondering if 6:00/6:30am is a fair time to arrive for standing room line. The show is at 3:00pm..my 3 friends and I are going! I was just wondering if that was early enough to ensure 4 tickets!! I went pre-tony awards and got in but I know things have changed!! Thank you in advance

I went for a Sunday matinee about a month ago, and got there around 7.30. Got tickets.

Would getting there around 9am be too late? I have 4 total in my group going this Sunday but we're driving from DC that morning so we really don't want to get turned away because we were too late (but leaving earlier than 4am is difficult). Around what time did people start not making the cutoff?

^^^ that is going to be tough. I would get there as early as possible. We have gotten in line at 6 am and had people in front of us.

If you don't get tickets to the matinee. you can always hang out for the night show.

You will have no shot of making it at that time.

I was there at 6am this past Sunday and there was about 25 people already on line and I didn't get a ticket for either show. There were 13 tickets for the 3pm show and 9 for the 7pm show.

I did it today and got there at 7am and got tickets but there were only 10 tickets today. The show was amazing though and we'll worth the wait. The people around me were very nice and that made the time go by quick.

I'm sure this weekend is going to be more crazy then last weekend as well.

"The show was amazing though and we'll worth the wait."

Am I reading it right? 26 hours of your time?

It's not as bad as that. I left after the lotto on Sunday for the 3pm show because the people in charge said the amount of tickets they had for standing room and I wouldn't have been getting one so I left . It's definitely the longest I've ever waited for a show but it beats paying premium prices.

How does it compare to 26 hours of your work pay, if you're lucky enough to be employed?

I am new here and haven't written much--so you may mistake my comment for trolling. But I happen to know for a fact, from someone very close to this production, that SRO in the last week is going to be a huge squeeze, since all the house seats are gone and everyone associated with the show is scrambling to get friends and family in to SRO spots for NPH's last week. Just a heads up.

What I still find fascinating is there is only 2 cast members (well, 6 if you include the band) and yet all the house seats and parts of SRO is being squeezed!

I went to the lottery this past Sunday at both 1pm and 5pm and when I talked to the SRO line, the earliest got there at 4:25am. Each day is different though. My friend went to SRO last Friday at 11am and got to see the show (they gave out 15 that evening.)

When I saw the show a few weeks ago (bought a premium seat at $200 back in January), Hedwig was nice enough to ask 2 SRO folks to come down and fill the empty premium orch seats. This was near halfway the show after the wig song.

That's because those seats are not exclusive to just the cast. The creative team and all of the producers (HEDWIG has about 14 different producing entities listed in the playbill) generally would also have access to these seats.

I would not be surprised if SRO availability this coming week was slim to non-existent.

Maybe you better go today, just to play it safe!

Honestly if if you're not there by 5am then you are probably wasting your time tomorrow. I got there at 6am last week and was around 25th in line and didn't get a ticket to either show.

Thanks for the heads up everyone! We'll be there very soon. If the line's already too long we'll pick a different show and assume it's not meant to be. Thanks again!

My father and I are numbers 16 and 17 in line right now. Does anyone know if they changed the policy to 1 SR ticket per person? When I tried SR last Sunday, they had 9 spots for the evening show, and the employee at the box office counted exactly 9 people. If they changed it to 1 per person I think we should be fine

Does anyone know if they may eliminate the lottery for this upcoming week?

It's still 2 tickets per person if they want 2

It's still 2 per person for SRO as of yesterday. One of my friends went to the SRO line yesterday and she was able to get tickets (earliest person got there at 3:15am!) One tip is to ask the box office how many they have set aside for standing room for the 3pm and 7pm performances. They will say "at most <>" Let's just hope it's 15 or 16 spots. On Friday, they were only 9 spots. Yesterday, there were 16 for 7pm and 14 for 10pm. It varies each day.

Here was the rundown for Sunday, 8/10, if you're interested:

My group of three arrived at 5am and were #18-20 in line (first people arrived at midnight). By 5:15am the last person who would make the cutoff for standing room would arrive. At noon when the box office opened we were told they had 13 SRO tickets for each performance. Because people in front of us were buying two, we would not make the cut. We waited til 1pm to see if we would get lucky at the lottery and someone in front of us won a pair. In addition, a group of three in front of us pulled tickets at the box office and purchased them. Those 5 people out from in front of us bumped us into the cutoff for standing room for the evening performance as long as the amount didn't change, which unfortunately they made very clear was a definite possibility. However, by 6pm, there were still 13 for the evening show. No one in front of us won the lottery this time, so our places were set. We bought tickets #10-12 for the evening show, with one person out of the group behind us getting the 13th and final ticket.

It was worth every second.

Was at the show last night (great show, but didn't understand ending)... Hedwig invited one of the standing room people to sit in an empty seat down front.....

Was just poking around on Telecharge and noticed there was no performance listed for Friday night?! Probably just a Telecharge tech issue, but just in case anyone was planning to sleep out all night, might want to double check on that... it is listed on the Hedwig site, though.
