I realize they are a controversial organization (to say the least), but this was a great program of music from the stage and screen. The orchestra and the choir is HUGE. I'm also mildly in love with Santino, and he was in fine form. I'm glad they recorded and uploaded this event.

The video is 1hr 12mins long.

Edit: For those uncomfortable with religion, skip to the 14min mark.

I hardly think the Mormon Tabernacle choir can be considered a "controversial organization"...haha. Anyway, I watched the first 14 minutes and didn't think it was uncomfortable at all. Actually an inspiring tribute to the Mormon Pioneers with some gorgeous music. The Mormons have a fascinating history, despite what people only know of them from the musical or modern media.

Why is he singing with this bigoted group?

I had the same question when Stokes sang with them?

Wow, it was a very nice concert. I didn't watch all of it, but looked for the Santino segments. He sang: 20:33--"Something's Coming" (West Side Story); 27:32 "Ten Minutes Ago (Cinderella); 38:24--- "How To Handle A Woman" (Camelot); 45:02--- "She Likes Basketball" (Promises, Promises); 56:25--- "Never, Never Land (Peter Pan) and at 1:03:06, he sings a medley of songs titled "Happy" (containing the world "happy" in the title).

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

I hate when performers I enjoy associate with hateful groups like the Mormons.

I'm actually an ex-Mormon, and I try to avoid things associated with the Mormon church in general. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir in particular has been a great source of internal conflict for me because I love the music they make, but I don't like that they're associated with the church.

I assume it must be how Jewish people who like Wagner's music feel.

Exactly my first reaction.
