On a brief, serious note: we shouldn't assume that all ancient Greeks were what we would call "white". They didn't construct race the way we do and wouldn't necessarily have cared or noted a citizen of African descent and coloring.

At first I thought he must be joking. Then I looked at some of his other posts on other threads. He's either not joking or he's overwrought with antic hostility.
JoeK is a bit of a prankster, and sometimes his humor can seem misanthropic if you don't know him. But he has a heart as big a continent. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
I've seen him do acts of kindness that most people would never consider.
Coincidentally, I toured Europe in the 60's with my one-woman show "Antic Hostility." At the time. Quentin Crisp told the BBC it was "Bewildering to the point of exasperation" and said I was "a tonic for those of us bored with the birds, blokes and bell-bottoms that clog Piccadilly Circus these days."
