I think Cantone has guest hosted "The View" the most. He's usually their emergency host anytime some backs out at the last minute.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I'd be very surprised if Bernadette does this! I love her, but she seems to value her privacy too much for a job like this. Granted I'd be giddy if she was on.
I don't think this would be a smart move for Menzel. She has a very "odd" personality with inconsistent almost flaky behavior. I don't think that would translate well on television, and it may give her the wrong type of exposure. I can't imagine her having very interesting opinions either.
I don't know if Bernadette is well-spoken enough or has interesting opinions either :-/. I must say I've never been terribly impressed with how she interviews.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
In my eyes, Laura Benanti can do no wrong. I think she's hilarious. As long as it doesn't prevent her from acting, I think she'd be great for nearly any hosting duty.
I agree with everyone here! Especially qolbinau. I've seen some Youtube interviews and she came across… well not how I picture her to be in private. Obviously there is nothing wrong with that! They just need to chose extroverts.
I highly doubt Idina would ever do this beyond being a guest host.
While I wouldn't describe her as flaky, she is certainly a tad socially awkward at times and doesn't seem to be super interested in pop culture. Politics, yes. But yeah, she's too much an introvert in unfamiliar situations.
