I'll be going to New York the first week of August.

Does anyone know of a site that sells Hedwig and the Angry Inch tickets? Broadway.com charges too much for fees, and Telecharge says shows are sold out unless I spend $300 a ticket. Or is it true that the shows are completely sold out? I noticed there is a site called BroadwayBox, is this a safe site?

Also, what's the likelihood of getting Cabaret and Beautiful tickets at a decent price either TKTS or rush etc?

We already bought If/Then tickets in advance but we may buy one more show in advance, then the rest will be rush/lotto/TKTS. Thanks for your help!

If Telecharge says the shows are sold out, they are likely sold out and you're looking at the secondary market (like scalpers and Broadway.com) which is where fees and markups will reign.

I know TKTS had BEAUTIFUL a lot in the winter but I haven't seen it on the app much at all lately.

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

Cabaret is largely sold out, so you're best hope is to get in at full price. They do have rush, but no seats are saved for rush, so if it is sold out online, there is a good possibility there will be no rush tickets.

Roundabout does have lot of subscribers, though, and they can decide to go at a later date, so seats are often available randomly if subscribers change their dates. But it is a hot ticket, so those open up and are sold quickly, so your best bet is to start monitoring the dates you are available, and buying good seats the minute they appear. But they are probably going to be $162-172 tickets.

Thanks for your help!
I've been to New York a few times with my family because I LOVE Broadway, and this time we're trying to see how many shows we can get day of show just to save money. I'm a big Idina fan so we bought If/Then in advance, even though now it's on TKTS....

Beautiful, Violet, Cabaret and Hedwig are the ones I'd really like to see, but I doubt that Hedwig will be possible. According to the app it seems like Violet is always on TKTS, but the other shows aren't. Hoping to do rush for Beautiful.
What does everyone think of the Cabaret revival and Michelle Williams? I've wanted to see the stage version for a while because I've loved the music and I know the movie is quite different. If we can get advance tickets for one show I'm either going with Hedwig or Cabaret. Tough decision

Hedwig is much better, IMO.

Well, both are somewhat difficult tickets to get, so you probably don't have to decide, ticket availability will decide for you.

The box office at Beautiful does not set aside rush seats. If the performance is sold out, then no rush seats. (per the nice guy who works in the box office) If you don't purchase it in advance your only alternative is standing. I don't forsee it on TKTS, anytime in the near future. It was great. Definitely see it.
