I would love for this to happen, but didn't we just have a revival 5 years ago?

I assume that everyone will act like that awful 2009 revival never occurred.

I would have loved to have seen what Nina Arianda could have done with Adelaide but I guess when it's revived in 10 years she could still play the role?

I'd love for this to happen. She was wonderful in the concert. And yes... let's pretend that 2009 revival never happened.

Except the show art. So phenomenal! The only thing to remember of that revival.

She was, truly, a perfect Adelaide in the concert version. I hope this happens.

I like the idea of her as Dolly Levi and co-starring with her husband.

I've only heard great things about her Miss Adelaide. We need something to cure the bad taste the last revival left in my mouth, it was so unbelievably atrocious. I can't say enough bad things about Lauren Graham's Adelaide, I didn't realize the role could be so utterly charmless and insipid--I remember it was nearly impossible to tell Graham apart from the chorus girls during the Hot Box numbers. It'd really be awesome to see Mullally play this role! Sign me up.
And BWayBound, Mullally and Offerman in HELLO, DOLLY would be fantastic. In fact, they should go through the musical theatre canon: Rose and Herbie, Dolly and Horace, Miss Adelaide and Nathan, Miss Hannigan and Warbucks, Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd... the options are endless.

Mary Testa and Tituss Burgess were both standouts in that revival! But then, it wasn't hard LOL.

This needs to happen. I have to say though, I thought Graham was great in the last revival (which was terrible). I would love to see Graham return to Broadway

Mary Testa and Titus Burgess were only standouts if you consider mercilessly chewing the scenery with no regards for the characters standout performances.

Was I dreaming or wasn't there a Jack & Karen comedy revue type show talked about for Broadway based on the characters from Will & Grace?

Absolutely. Titus Burgess screlting his way though "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat" stood out for all the wrong reasons. There was no regard for character there.

This is random, but I would love if they didn't hesitate to color blind cast and got Norm Lewis for Sky Masterson.

Nevertheless, there's always room on Broadway for a classic show such as Guys and Dolls.

I'd see it for Norm, but that last revival (and my only experience with the show) just turned me off.

And I think there was talk of a "Karen: The Musical" awhile back.

That's just how I feel- I mean, when I was sitting through this show and not liking it, they were the only parts I enjoyed (Sit Down..), maybe it was because they overdid it, But I did not feel that they did. It at least lighten the mood. But To each his own.

She says, "Not that particular thing," which makes me think she may be referring more generally to a return to Broadway, not specifically in Guys and Dolls.

Jane already played the role in London and won an Olivier for it. I doubt she'd come back and do the part again.

I wasn't impressed with any of the clips I saw of the concert version, including Mullally---even if she fared slightly better than the others.

And if any actor with a "legit" voice tries to sing Sky Masterson again, I may shoot myself. It's written for a crooner. If you can't sing it, don't play the part.

I'd like to see Harry Connick as Sky.

Testa gave a new meaning to the term "scenery-chewing," but at least she had some kind of driving force behind her performance. Even if it was a force equivalent to a runaway train. Everyone else was practically sleepwalking...Testa was a welcome wake-up for me. In any other production, I would've hated her performance. But in that snoozer of a revival, I was thankful she injected some energy into it.
