Recently I reread the script of A Chorus Line. I have always laughed at the interaction between Sheila and Val about breasts. The part where Val says "I heard that you bitch" and then she says she wanted her breasts in proportion.

I've always felt that one of the weaknesses of ACL was that it needed a bit more interaction like this between the actors. Some of the monologues are great such as Bobby's about "committing suicide in Buffalo is redundant" but there's not a lot of interaction between the actors.

With two book writers (three if you count Neil Simon material) why wasn't the book a bit sharper? To me it's not up to the standard of the music & lyrics, and of course the choreography and staging which are wonderful.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
