This week was really further proof of how they stack the deck. They don't let you see how many right and wrong answers the contestants give, so they can just pick who wins the mini-challenge. They had to let either Adore or Courtney win, and then give the other winner first pick, just to make sure they didn't end up on the same team. The other winner had to be smart enough to pick Courtney first, so Dela was the smart choice.
Courtney obviously was better in the musical theatre aspect, but I think Adore has the better voice. Courtney has just really disappointed me. I was expecting a lot more.

I also have a wee little...not problem. Issue? With the T Courtney was spilling in the first Untucked regarding sex with men who may not want to deal with the fact that she's got a little something extra. I felt uncomfortable. I'm generally not even remotely prudish. In fact, I'm kind of a slut. But there's some dark undercurrent to that discussion that didn't sit well with me, and it's colored my view of her. I should probably just get over it.
Oh my! I felt the SAME way. I was afraid that saying it would paint me in a poor light. (I do tend to be a little prudish.) It really turned me off and I had really liked what I had seen of her beforehand.

I don't think any kind of discussion like that is out of bounds, but the tone felt really light and sexy and I was all, 'HUH?'
I feel like it was also the same episode where Darienne said she wouldn't kai kai with another kween and there was some Law & Order 'chung chung' sound effect, like she just said, 'I eat babies.'
It just didn't sit right with me. Are we over-reacting?
Probably, but it didn't sit well with me, either. When Courtney said there was that moment after when she didn't know if he as going to punch her, I thought that was a MUCH deeper conversation than the way she presented it. It was touching on a very serious, frightening subject. Safety first, gals!

I would say slight overreaching. LOL. I do not do drag myself, but I am good friends with a number of queens.. And not the "Im 24 and I put on a dress, so I am a drag queen" types. A lot of the "career girls" consider it to be one big family. For better or worse, there is a lot of baggage associated with drag and it os very much a sisterhood and they all "get it". They know what each other is going through in that sense. There is also, much like family, some intense rivalries that happen. Most of the Queens that I know look at the sisterhood of Queens and feel as though it would be crossing a boundary and leeping with a family member... and / or they soend so much time absorbed into the world of drag that they crave the balance of having someone / somewhere to go that no THAT.
As far as courtney's contribution, it is an interesting topic, handled shockingly lightly, but a subject that is ultimately dark and very much something that happens but is absolutely taboo to talk about.
Darrienne's Paula Deen looks perfect. Bianca looks great. Based on the look and what I guess can be done with the characters, I would guess Trinity, Joselyn and maybe Gia for the bottom.
