Tomorrow I am seeing Glass Menagerie, and obviously I'm very excited! But since it is Halloween, I was wondering if people will be dressing up? I know that some shows like Natasha, Pierre, Comet... are encouraging people to dress up. The costumes make sense for their show since it is more avant-garde, but since Glass Menagerie is of a more serious nature, I wasn't sure what people would be doing.

I'll be limping and looking sad.

Really? You are going to the theater, not a halloween party.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Let's all go dressed as respectful theater goers from the past!

I think shows would advertise such things, like Natasha and Pierre did. I wouldn't dress up for Glass Menagerie, but considering I have seen people wear sweatpants to the theater....maybe it would be a step up?

Several years ago I saw Kevin Kline's CYRANO on Halloween night and sat behind a whole family that was dressed as Crayola crayons.

I would never dress in costume unless I was encouraged to. Maybe wear some Halloween jewelry, but still. It's the theatre, not a costume party or Mardi Gras.

Go as Laurette Taylor and spook Cherry if you have a seat close to the stage.

Even Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet's Halloween event is still in the realm of the show- Russian opera or military attire.

Otherwise, why the heck would you wear a costume?

Dress as a big Cherry and sit in the front row.

I would suggest going as a glass unicorn. But people would see right through you.
