I disagree with Mr. Roxy. I havent seen Fun House or even Fun Home but I loved Bad Jews. So did the critics. If you like theatre like Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf, God of Carnage mixed in with very interesting urban modern Jews...Bad Jews is not to be missed.
It's fairly safe to say if you liked God of Carnage you would like Bad Jews. It is the same kind of humor and a clear conflict and argument much like God of Carnage.
I kind of enjoyed Bad Jews but I really feel as though Fun Home is one of the rare, deeply special shows. The kind of which we've been lucky to have three of already this season (this, Mr. Burns, and the Menagerie revival), but usually only come bi-annually or so. Everything else seems frivolous in comparison. All a matter of taste, of course.
I liked Bad Jews. However, Fun Home is a far more meaningful, special show (at least for me). I think it's a must-see. It's absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it.
