I fell off my chair at work when I read this. New Hope is only a hop, skip and a jump away from where I live. Guess where I'm gonna be this Halloween? Hint: It ain't New York.
Bucks County Playhouse is really on a roll. All of their productions this season have been top-notch, and they're continually attracting top talent. I can't wait to see this.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

the old BCP always did Rocky Horror the same time of year and their performances always sold-out. I would imagine the same will happen with this cast and the limited 15 performances.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Since its renovation the Bucks County Playhouse really has reestablished itself as an outstanding regional theater with top quality productions and attracting some great people to work there both in the casts and creative teams. I was able to see Mothers and Sons back in June and it was fantastic and I have no doubts that this production will be anything less! Will Swenson and the rest of the cast are going to rock!
Sorry, but Will seemed so uncomfortable in "Priscilla" wearing those outfits and playing that role. How will he ever look relaxed in Frankie's getup? Just don't see him as a sweet transvestite.
Who ever asked for Nick Adams you got your wish. He is playing Rocky per the press release. But it does seem that Will Swenson might have left the production since he is no longer listed in the cast. Still a great cast

No. Nick Adams is playing Rocky. Swenson was set to play Frank, and his replacement has not been announced.

they're reportedly in the process of casting Frank. But I have to wonder, why only 4 Phantoms??

The way the article is worded suggests that there could be more than the four actors listed as phantoms. They are using local non-equity performers for the chorus.

ACL, The libretto for The Rocky Horror Show, as published by Samuel French, specifically says 4 Phantoms.
"4 PHANTOMS- TRANSILVANIANS" "Notes: ... 3. Phantoms can be increased to six. They are used onstage & off as back up singers as well as understudies."
Nick Adams will be a FANTASTIC Rocky. Frankly (pun!), Swenson as Frank'N'Furter sounded horrific to me. I've never quite gotten his appeal, but lordy... he was SO visibly uncomfortable with the drag in Priscilla. Even a year into the run, he never settled into the heels.
Kushnier reminds me a LOT of Jason Wooten, who was a great Riff-Raff (and Eddie / Dr. Scott) in the revival. No complaint there.
It's extremely common for more than 4 Transylvanians/Phantoms to appear- keep in mind that the official script is for a small-stage, small-cast black box style staging, which is traditionally made much larger on a huge stage.
I've done "Rocky Horror" three times during my career and all three times we had 10 Phantoms. That's why I find it odd.

that's beyond sad how much they're paying their non-union people, if it is indeed $50/week. If it was $50 per performance, it would be reasonable($350/week).

that's gotta be wrong. And that's a lot of hard work on stage each night, let alone per week. Even film non union extras who might just sit and knit all day in holding can make more than that.
