"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I fully believe KChen has done readings/workshops/is producing this Tammy Faye business, but if you go by what she's said is coming to broadway next season she seems to be doing "On the Twentieth Century," the Tammy Faye musical, the Dolly Parton bio musical, and Soapdish in rep on broadway.
All of these projects need to happen (not necessarily with her), but no much as her as Tammy Faye.
If she was on BRAVO, that bastion of high brow entertainment, one can only hope they have their eye on her to join one of the real housewives casts. No doubt she's qualified to do drama.
I cannot stand watching her AS her. i find her to be incredibly fake, its like she has no idea who she thinks people want to see.
I have found its true (to me) whether she's being interviewed or in a concert setting. It makes me uncomfortable to watch.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I Kind of agree with you dramamama. She's seems a bit too full of herself when she plays herself. It's not endearing. But give her a part and look out.. she's terrific. Did not enjoy her Lincoln Center Concert on PBS
Her and Kathy at the same time sounds like one of my nightmares. You couldn't pay me.....
