Excellent, thank you, does anyone know how many spots there are for SRO? Based on the grosses it seems like there have been 10 extra tickets sold per show, does that mean there are really only 10 standing spots or were one or more of the shows perhaps not 100% sold out? Just trying to know so I can gauge whether or not waiting on line will be worth it when I go.

I went to the box office last week and tried to get a standing room ticket and they told me they weren't sold out yet, but were close. So it seems they do have to be sold out to sell standing room.

They sell standing room when the show is completely sold out. Last Wednesday evening, there were 7 seats left and they wouldn't sell standing room, and this afternoon there were 12 seats left and they wouldn't sell it. It's $28 and it's a really fantastic view of the stage.

It should be noted, too, that there was no student rush offered for Wednesday evening's show, probably a lot of press there.

There are also 20 rush tickets for each performance. The four seats at the rear of each box (8 in total) and then two seats on the extreme left and right for, I believe rows C, D, and E (12 in total).

Standing room for this show is awesome- view is not obstructed by mezzanine overhang. The show is so fun that I did not mind standing through it at all. Definitely worth the price considering the people sitting right in front of you paid over 100.

Just wondering if anybody's tried rushing the Saturday matinee lately, and if so, how early should I get to the box office?

Thanks.

I rushed the matinee this past Saturday. Got there at about 7am and there were 16 people in front of me, only 5 of which were rushing for the matinee. By 8, there were about 40 people behind me.

Any tips for how early to get there this Friday for rush?

I happened to be in the neighborhood this past Friday morning around 9, so I took a look at the rush lines. Every line had barely 5 people in it (even Matilda)...except for Pippin, which must have had about 15-25. Hope that helps!

Matilda didn't do rush on Fridays so they were waiting for nothing.

Since when do they not do rush everyday?

Clyde-That was Matilda. When they had a rush, it was only for Tues.-Thurs. performances.

Pippin, as far as I know, is every day.

Just Curious. If the show is already sold out, do they sell the standing room tickets the same time as the rush? I prefer the standing over the rush, because of the view. BTW, the same ticket I paid $59 for on May 5, is now $146.50. Sheesh.

just an FYI for anyone trying to do SRO for Pippin. Yes, they only sell it when the show is COMPLETELY SOLD-OUT. Asked at 3:30 and was told to come back at 6:00. Myself, plus about a dozen other people were told the same thing as there were that many of us at the box office by 6:00. At 6:15 we were told the show still wasn't COMPLETELY sold-out, but to hang around a little bit longer. At 6:45 we got word that SRO was going to be sold to us at 7:00. SRO tickets are $29 and there's only 15 spots. But it was well worth the wait.

If anyone was interested, they realeased SRO about 20 minutes ago when the last seat (for $300) was sold. There were 3 people ahead of me in line. $29 each!

I rushed I'll Eat You Last yesterday morning, and some of us on line checked out the Pippin action across the street. Regarding the rush line, the first person got there a bit before 7 a.m. When I got to my line around 8:30, there looked to be about 15 to 20 people on the Pippin line.

On Friday morning there were around 15 people by 7:30...I think I heard they only had 18 rush tickets but there were at least 40 or 50 people in line by 10 (when the box office opened).

I got box tickets and while the seats against the edge of the box have an okay view, I had a chair one seat in and couldn't see ANYTHING. But I just asked the usher if I could stand up since I was at the back of the box and he said okay! So I ended up having a pretty good view even though the side boxes obviously cut off parts of the stage. But I'd have to echo what others said--sounds like standing room is a better deal because of the view. Since the show is such a spectacle, it'd be nice to see it full-on.

That said, it blew my mind regardless. AMAZING.

I saw a few posts reference a student rush. My understanding is that it was a general rush. Is there both a general and student rush?
