i actually got to see LIZA in CHICAGO...and this trailer brought that moment in time back...i can't wait to see the whole doc...wow...thanks for posting this link
Thanks Jordan for that link to Kickstarter. I had no idea that this was being funded there but got mine in just in the nick of time. Also bought it at Amazon.com and it's been shipped. Hoping it comes tomorrow as I can't wait to watch this.
Here's a GR8 snippet from the documentary to watch.
Off the top of my head, I can think of footage from 19 different shows that I've discovered for this film and I know Rick has found a lot as well, so it's filled with amazing stuff!
"Yeah the CHICAGO stuff cleaned up very nicely. And there's more of that that I'm sure you've never seen before."
Oh, I'm sure. While the real appeal of the first film was just all the interviews, I admit I was amazed to see some clips--like that brief clip from the original cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof--that I had no idea even existed.
"The sequel will cover 1959-1981."
Awww, as ourbeloved AfterEight knows all too well, that's my personal pick for the real Golden Age of Broadway--when it comes to musicals. Brilliant stuff.
Ha! I always wondered what was the source--do you know? Was the scene shot for some TV show or appearance, or? it looks too clear to be a home movie (no worries if you don't know--just always been curious.)
