I'm so grateful I was able to catch both parts of this. I'm sure most of you have seen or read The Laramie Project before but this is not to be missed. Incredibly powerful and moving...very inspiring. Just 8 actors doing really wonderful work and telling a very important story. Part 2, set ten years later, was fascinating and also deeply moving.

I had balcony seats but BAM moved everyone down to the orchestra, which was a very nice treat. Check this out if you can- one of the best I've seen in a while.

I am so sad that I won't get to see this. With all the rave reviews, does anyone think this might transfer? If a bunch of actors reading The Great Gatsby out loud for what felt like ten thousand hours sold tickets and became a hit, why couldn't this be equally successful in a limited off-Broadway run?

It's a shame audiences aren't showing up to see it at BAM. I saw the premiere production of the cycle in Boston a couple seasons ago (after first seeing the original cast at Berkley Rep in 2001) and it is absolutely worth seeing. I urge everyone to go. I learned something from the words of the folklorist in "10 Years Later" that has helped me make more sense of the world ever since.

If you're on the fence, go. If you have no interest, why not?

I actually thought it was sold out. I went to BAM's website and instead of online ticketing, they just had a note "call for tickets". I figured that meant it was limited or sold out and didn't bother. Now I'm booked up for the rest of the performances. This sucks.

At the beginning of the run they were playing to sparse houses.

I read that Judy Shepard saw the show for the very first time the other night. I can't imagine what that must have been like for her.

Seeing this on Saturday, marathon style. Sloppy tears imminent.
