Posted: 2/18/13 at 3:21amSo sorry for another Wicked post, but I thought it might be interesting to note that Jenn Gambatese is joining the 1st National Tour of Wicked next week, as Glinda. This is certainly breaking Wicked's trend of hiring very young girls with few equity credits for Glinda. I'm excited for her, though.

Apparently she is very close friends with Shoshana bean.
It would be cool if Shoshana came back and did a return stint. With her vocals now, she would take no prisoners.

sho and jen are very very close friends. but it would take alotta dough to get sho back in WICKED.
ESPECIALLY because she just released her second album. less than a week ago.
and wheres your source saying Jen's joining the tour? Kind of surprising, because her husband and daughter are her life. Hence why she's only done local projects lately...

I have no idea if this is accurate information or not, but Gambatese's age is hardly a concern. She looks incredibly young and always has.

Isn't Patti Murin currently Glinda on the tour? She could not have been with the tour that long- does she have something else planned?

Her last performance is this coming Sunday the 24th. She was with the tour for 6 months.
