Hi there...

I ended up not being able to go to the theater until about 12:15pm, but I still got a ticket. 4th row, a bit off to the side but had a perfect view of everything. Amazed at the seat, and at how late in the dat it was available.

Student Rush Report from today 2/6/2013 - Two show day.

Arrived at 8:30AM. Was #3 in Queue though #1 & #2 both wanted matinee while I was looking for evening.

By 9am there were about 10 ppl in queue and by 10am I would guess at least 30 ppl. Not sure how many ticekts are distributed..

I was given ORCH row O in the center but not sure how the view will be. Might be some obstruction from the Mezz which hangs over row J. Though my ticket does not say "Partial View"

Good luck everyone!

Has anyone rushed recently? What time do you suggest getting there?

Just going to casually bump this thread up to see what my chances are of snagging a seat for tomorrow evening's performance. Updated On: 3/4/13 at 11:26 PM

I just tried for tonight and there were none left.

I tried again unsuccessfully this morning. Got there around 9:30 and they were already out of matinee tickets by the time I got to the window. Oh, and it's only one ticket per ID, of which I was not aware.

Ever think of getting there a little earlier?

And the policy has always been one ticket per ID. I've noticed a lot of people seem to think otherwise and I'm not sure why.

a.) I didn't think I needed to- there's a big difference between not being able to get a rush ticket when I randomly try at noon and not getting one when I get there at 9:30 on a two-show day.
b.) People "seem to think otherwise" because the one ticket policy is not stated in the rush listings on playbill.com. It doesn't say you can get two, either, but at least when I read it, I assumed that since it didn't say otherwise, it was two.

With regard to b, please see that link below. It's pretty helpful.

Why would I google a rush policy when I have already read what it is on playbill.com, a (usually) perfectly reliable source?

"Cinderella
Student Rush: $32 - for Monday through Thursday performances, producers are making $32 tickets available to students with a valid ID. Student rush seating locations are at the discretion of the box office. Subject to availability."

Bumping to ask if anyone has had any luck of late trying for 'left over' tickets (I guess that's what I'd call them). I know people had tried going in the afternoon with varied levels of success going later in the day and getting tickets. Any information would be appreciated.

Use this site, it's more accurate than Playbill's rush listings: http://broadwayforbrokepeople.com/

You'll notice it does say 1 ticket per ID, which has been the policy since it was announced.

(Yes, it is my site. Doesn't change the fact that what I'm saying here is true.)

I rushed Cinderella this morning (Tuesday). We got there at 8:30am and were 3rd and 4th in line. By 9am there were about 6 people there and by the time the box office opened we were at 14. Everybody that was there got a ticket and he said there were still a decent number when we asked about a friend who was going to come by at lunch time.

Hi everyone, I'm going to try to rush for a Wednesday matinee show in three weeks or so. They have rush tickets for matinee shows as well right?

And while I'm at it, I didn't want to create another thread for this - Does anyone know if there's an alternate schedule for Laura Osnes' and Santino Fontana's roles? I haven't heard anything about it, and just wanted to know if I'll be able to see them (especially Laura, I love her voice). And does Laura by any chance stage door? I'd love to meet her!

Laura and Santino are scheduled to perform all eight shows each week. I'm sure they won't want to miss any right now since they and the show are nominated for Tony Awards.

And yes, they sell rush for matinees. Hope you get in. Enjoy!

To the person who asked if Laura comes out-the night I went it seemed like the entire cast came out. They were very nice. Enjoy! I sat house left on the side in the orch and it was great.

Thanks for your replies! Yes, I am looking forward to seeing this! I never saw the previous musical versions so it will be a complete new experience~ I enjoy seeing shows where I haven't heard the music or know about the plot, I love to be pleasantly surprised. Although of course, here I already know the plot, haha...

Just thought I'd update this thread in case anyone is curious. I rushed Cinderella today and got a ticket for the matinee show. I got there at 8:40 and was 6th in line. The next two people did not join in until a bit after 9. The line did not really get busy until 9:20-30. At 9:30 there were definitely more than 16 people - not sure how many as the line went around the block. So it does not seem that crazy, but since summer is here I'd say maybe get there at 8:30 to be safe?
My seat was said to be partial view in Orchestra, row D, but I did not really miss much. I had a great view of the stage, but because of the tree on the side of the stage, I missed some little things. SPOILERS AHEAD: some things missed - the speaker at the town square reaching out to the people, the pumpkin turning into a carriage, Cinderella's first entrance moment at the ball. But I personally did not mind these things, overall the view was great and the show was fantastic!!! The entire cast was amazing and hilarious! And also, most of the main cast came out the stage door, except Victoria Clark and Peter Bartlett.
