In the college I saw Missi Pyle do the Princess Esmerelda in CAMINO REAL, Cressida in TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, and Squeaky in ASSASSINS.

Our local "edgy" community theater had a sloe-eyed hottie named Katie Walsh who did TOOTH OF CRIME, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (not the musical) and BAAL.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Loretta Devine was an amazingly talented and HOT young actress in the graduate program at Brandeis while I was an undergraduate back in the mid-70's. Her Esmerelda in "Camino Real" was legendary. Six years later she was starring on Broadway in "Dreamgirls."

Gerry Alesandrini (Forbidden Broadway creator) starred as Billy Bigelow in the summer stock production of "Carousel" back in 1976 when I was tech directing at New London Barn Playhouse in New Hampshire.

And I share Pal Joey's memory of the Harry Goz cast of "Fiddler" in 1967 that featured a young Bette Midler, (though I failed to notice her unprofessional breaking up onstage as he did). After all, who can ever forget their first Broadway show?
