I have a friend who went this year and had the time of her life. She went with a group but assured me you would have just as much fun going alone. She got to spend a lot of time with some of her favorite performers and she said all the performances were excellent. I am thinking about going next year, but as you stated it is A LOT of money. I do love Broadway, but I could easily take a cruise to Bermuda and listen to cast recordings on my iPod for much less. Let me know what you decide, could be fun to meet another BWW member if I do chose to go.
Definitely! And thanks for the input. Do you know which performers she got to spend time with? Anyone else have cruise experiences, or know of someone else who did?
I believe it's on Norwegian cruise line. Last year, it was on the Norwegian Star, which is a ship that I worked on (and loved) several years ago. It's a big ship with lots to do onboard and a large, beautiful theatre. I'm just jealous that they started doing these so long after I left-the closest I came to one of these was missing the Rosie cruise by a week at the end of one of my contracts. I'd love to see many of my fave broadway performers up close!
Glad someone asked this. My wife and I were thinking about going this year. We got the email too. It all depends on money, but hearing that it was so great is awesome. I'd love to know more about what performers were there and what kind of activities there were last year...
