Has anyone heard anything about casting for this tour? It starts next month, but I haven't been able to find anything other than the tour website (which is one of the crappiest websites I have ever seen - www.hairontour.com )
Auditions for it were held a generation ago. I'm kind of curious to find out who's in this, too.
The crappy website is because the people who handled the Broadway marketing and first Equity tour are no longer engaged on the production. It's the new (read: cheaper) people who have the new (read: cheaper) site.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
As for the cheap website, this is a Big League Theatricals tour and it seems they use the same template for all their tours (like Dreamgirls and the recent non-eq of My Fair Lady). While I was on Big League's website, I noticed that they list future tours Lysistrata Jones and Hello Dolly w/ Sally Struthers, both of which I hadn't heard about until just now... Dreamgirls
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
yes, I'll second that the "Hello, Dolly!" tour needs to happen.

I went to this show twice in Phoenix. There was a lot of talent and energy in this cast. I was surprised because the non equity thing made me skeptical.
Thank you for sharing some thoughts about this 2013 tour. I was also hesitant about traveling to see this production but I will make the effort. I have to do a road trip to MA or NJ.
I miss the show and after seeing this done so well I was afraid the non-equity version would be a pale shadow of it's previous casts - and I am sooooo glad to hear this is not the case.
We saw it in Salt Lake City and absolutely loved it!! One of our most favorites in a long time. High energy, interaction and Great Entertainment. Made me long for those days that have long since past. Performed by a bunch of kids who never expereinced them .
