I know there's no way she'd be available for the Broadway revival, but I'd love to see Imelda Staunton as Miss Hannigan.
(She's been added to my list of favorite actors).
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
I really hope she does, but I'm wondering if Broadway has been Sweeney'ed out. Maybe a limited run or a production at BAM?

Michael Ball has said that a Broadway transfer is being looked at - but IF it happens it will be a limited run(I'm guessing somewhere between 6 weeks and 3 months at the most) and they would like to bring the entire company over (not just Michael and Imelda). The trouble seems to be in the financing - apparently the West End transfer almost didn't happen for the same reason.
I'd see Imelda in anything (even "Annie", which I hate)! Her performance in "Sweeney" is astonishing and quite simply the best performance I have ever seen! I hope the production transfers to Broadway so that you can all witness it in person!
