I've seen two reviews that have popped up on line so far, one by Matthew Murray and the other in Variety and both are outright raves. Variety says, "this one could run forever."

I would not say the two reviews I read (times and voice) were that good Zinoman in the Times, made it clear that it is a very specific type of show; and even Musto, who seemed to like it more, made it clear it is not for everyone. I think the producers-writers are trying to tap a very specific audience; I find something a little cynical about that.

Well, the show is now a Times Critic's Pick, so I'd think that their critic liked it a bunch. Matthew Murray at Talking' Broadway, who is someone I think tends to be very tough, gave it an absolute rave.

While the target audience at this early stage clearly fits into a well defined demographic, I think that the marketing will eventually jreach out to the more general audience, with a theme similar to the old ad, "You don't have to be Jewish to to love Levy's Jewish rye.". Or something to that effect.

Don't know what they're talking about.

This show and these jokes work for ANY audience.

Another excellent review, this one on theatermania.com.

"Throughout the proceedings, the gags are, as often as not, more than gags. They're compact comic sketches, and director Marc Bruni makes certain every amusing speech and every character nuance is mined for its full potential."

Glad the producers of Leap Of Faith can rest easy now that they have a hit on their hands. Maybe it will be the next "Love Lose And What I Wore."
