Dream cast and ideas welcome.
Tiana: (not Raven.) Keke Palmer for the tweenage pull.

Marla: I have to go sing about a life I never led.

I absolutely loved this movie. I wish it could have gotten more buzz than it did, but it just opened at a bad time. I always thought "Friends on the Other Side" would look fantastic on a stage.

I thought it was a decent film, it would difficult to adapt to the stage especially as Tiana and Naveen are frogs for the bulk of it.

For the animals, they would have to take a puppet approach similar to Lion King. While I adore the film (newmans score is catchy and entertaing and would transfer well) it didn't have the draw that Disney was hoping for. I'd love to see what Disney could do with tangled

Tangled would have to be seriously expanded, I do think Flynn's backstory could be explored and both him, Rapunzel and Mother Goethel would need more songs. Pascal and Maximus would likely be cut, animals that don't talk tend not to feature in the stage adaptations.

LOL at that banner... Oh dear.

I don't think Newman's score is as theatrical as, say, the Menken scores-- And since it goes back and forth between "real" humans, and anamorphic animals I think it would be harder to adapt than The Lion King...

Lilli Cooper (Wicked, Elphaba standby) would be an amazing Tiana in my opinion.
