I thought it was a really great show, and Kristin did a great job of charming us.

There were a few places where she had some awkward pauses (near the end of her bit with her "special guests" at the beginning, and a couple of other times where she seems to temproarily lose her train of thought). And the sound issue at the Paramount always seems to be an issue. She was fine and better heard when using her hand held mic, but when relying on just her body mic for her act two opening "In These Shoes?" song, a lot of it got lost. But this seems to be the case with anything which plays the Paramount.

There were some nice surprises (her singing "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again", "Bring Him Home (The Prayer)", "Popular" in English, Japanese, and German), and I thought she had a good mixture between her Broadway stuff, her covers of American standards (or standard style) songs, her new Country stuff, and even her Christian music ("and if you don't care for God, the song will be over in four minutes.")

The only thing in your review was that she technically didn't sing anything from "Promises Promises". She sang "One Less Bell To Answer/A House Is Not A Home" which she did on Glee, but not the full version of "A House Is Not A Home" that she did in "Promises Promises". I wished she included "Knowing When To Leave".

A great night (that I almost didn't attend, but ended up buying tickets at the last minute to anyway).

I look forward to seeing the other witch when she comes in June.

Was "In These Shoes?" the Kirsty MacColl song (also done by Bette Midler)?

I actually saw her in Berkley (SF Bay Area). We too had issues with the body mic during the shoe song, but overall it was a fun show. She was engaging and the audience (while not sold out) was locked in and really had a great time. Kristin sang quite a variety of songs and showed a huge range. I can only compare her show to Hugh Jackman's since those are the only 2 Broadway style I've been to and his had a much smoother flow but her's was still quite enjoyable.

To be honest besides "Promises, Promises" this was only my second time seeing her live, and my first concert. I almost didn't go, she certainly needs to do more advertising because if not for her tweeting about a SF sound check I wouldn't have known about it. Found tickets for a ridiculously cheap price (2 orchestra row A seats for $45 total should have been $189 on stub-hub) and took a friend.

We really enjoyed ourselves.

Theeatah:

Yes, it was that song.

I can't remember the whole set list, but this was the act two opener.

Just came back from her L.A. show at the Greek. My first time seeing her live and she was wonderful! Sean Hayes was in the audience and she brought him up to sing from Promises, Promises. She also brought a young girl up to sing For Good with her which was adorable. Overall, a great time! I was impressed by her versatility. She covered a whole lot of stuff - and she moved me to tears twice which I honestly wasn't expecting.

Damn I had no idea she was at the Greek,
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I'm not sure what the best way to advertise for these shows is because I literally found out at the last minute, bought my tickets for the Bay Area show at 6pm curtain was at 8.

Ideas?

I got to go: $24 tickets 5 rows from the front on ticketstub.com if you wanna go to another concert on her tour, maybe try it. It worked for me.

Here's my reconstructed setlist(very strong song choice. i recommend going to a show on this tour):

ACT 1
Overture - Band
Should I Be Sweet?
I'm Going to the Dance with You
Maybe This Time
My Coloring Book (Kander & Ebb)
I'll Never Fall in Love Again - with Sean Hayes
Hard Times (come again no more) - written in 1854 by Stephen Foster - I really liked it!
One Less Bell/A House is not a home

Upon This Rock
Bring Him Home (Les Miz)

Fathers & Daughters (I can't remember if this was before upon this rock or after bring him home)
** I might have forgot songs/messed up the order at the end of Act 1

ACT 2
In These Shoes
Popular/"Glinda: Around the World" - she randomly sang verses from the Japanese, German, Swedish? (dont remember) versions of wicked)
For Good - she's picking people out of the audience to sing Elphaba's part (after a number of people voluteered, but admitted they didn't know the lyrics, a 7 year old girl voluteered. It was adorable)
What Would Dolly Do? (WWDD)
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again (from POTO: This was gorgeous I would have never have thought of this for Kristin, but now I wish she had once played Christine)
What If We Never
I'm Tired
Enough is Enough (No More Tears)
All The Things You Are (showin' Jerome Kern some love)
I Was Here

**Encore #1
I Will Always Love You

**Encore #2
Glitter and Be Gay (This was the highlight of the concert for me. I never thought I'd see her sing it live, and it was something to behold; I'll tell you that. That lady is talented.)

^She has played Christine only not in Phantom of the opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber. She played the role in a touring production Maury Yestons Phantom, that toured Europe. I wanna think she also did a production in the states with Marc Kubisch, though i can't for the life of me remember where.

I love when she sings glitter and be gay! I saw it a few years ago when she sang at the Hollywood bowl! I'm so mad I couldn't see her at the Greek.

Yes. If you want to be blown away by sheer talent, go. I didn't once get bored, and I don't regret going at all. Ms. Chenoweth knows how to put on a good show.

you got $24 tickets 5 rows from the stage for the LA concert....I did to except for the SF one. I wonder if ticket sales aren't that great so at the last minute they're putting them up on secondary sites so that seats aren't empty? The two seats next to us were empty and in the first 3 rows from the stage (at least on stage right) several seats were open. I felt bad and was hoping the ushers would have people fill them just so she wouldn't see empty seats.

They had some random guys name on them. I'm betting it was some1 trying to make $ off them (in my case they lost - tickets were orig $125) or it was some1 who bought them & then couldnt go.
Fyi my seats were on the extreme side. I couldnt c half of her band members
